The Dark Knight by far for me. A near perfect movie. The acting was great; Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Heath Ledger especially. Second is Batman (1989).
Heh, I should have known I’d see you here Virginia And don’t worry, no one is going to hate you for having an opinion.
I appreciate your niceness, EG27, but certain members can’t stand being disagreed with You’re probably one of my favorite members now with Ami and Konrad.
Awwww, thanks Virginia! You’re definitely in my top three favorite members too I know what you mean about people not liking it when you disagree with their opinion. It’s absolutely HORRIBLE on the imdb boards; say something even the least bit critical of someone’s favorite movie, and the reply will most likely be “GAHH! you dares to disagre wit meh?? You r wronge!!1!1! Go back to your cave trolllllll!!!” Not everyone on imdb is like that, but a good chunk is, that’s why I stopped posting there. People have different opinions, that’s what makes the world interesting
Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were laughably bad in my opinion (see? That’s an opinion, feel free to disagree with it ), especially the latter. In a way, they’re so bad they’re good. Batman Returns wasn’t great, but it wasn’t horrible either. Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfeiffer saved it for me.
Agreed. Wow, people really spell that poorly I agree about the last BM movies you mentioned. That, and the Cloon should never have been Batman. It just wasn’t right.
Sadly, that is an accurate representation of some people’s spelling on imdb…not everyone though, just want to make that clear. “The Cloon”, love it! I think Michael Keaton did the best job of playing Batman. Christian Bale is good at playing Bruce Wayne, but his bat-voice is annoying. I think Michael Caine made a great Alfred though.
Yeah, he was a pretty well-balanced Batman. Val Kilmer and “The Cloon” snicker, not so much. I like all the villains though. Nicholson’s Joker was hilarious, and Ledger’s Joker was downright scary I hated Batman Forever, but Jim Carrey as The Riddler made me laugh. Aaron Eckhart was a much better Two-Face than Tommy Lee Jones, in fact, I think Jones’ Two-Face is the only Batman villain I dislike.
No Batman: Mask of the Phantasm? Even though it’s not live-action it’ should still be included because it was in theaters.
Anway, of course I am going to pick The Dark Knight because it’s my second favorite movie of all time.
1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
3. Batman Begins
4. Batman (1989)
5. Batman Forever
6. Batman & Robin
7. Batman Returns
Also no one should hate on Bale. He is arguably the best Batman/Bruce Wayne. He might have went a little too deep in TDK with Batman’s voice but it was still great.
Michael Keaton was a great Batman but his Bruce Wayne was not good.
Batman 1989, i find TDK waaaaaaay too overrated, i mean Christian Bale, Heath Ledger as the Joker, the kind of aciton it has, all the fancy gadgets, the pacing of it, the trying to be 'cool’ness of it trying soooooo hard to be every 15 year olds dream is what i don’t like about it
Well, they failed; I’m 15, and I would never dream of having a slutty partner who doesn’t love me, “kicking butt”, or having Michael Cane as my only family
Pixarinho* and IncredigirlVirignia I respect your opinions but lay off. You two just have to comment on every Batman related topic expressing how you two hate The Dark Knight. It’s getting really annyoing. I’m trying to say this without sounding like a douchebag but can you two just try to not make comments about TDK.
Also the fancy gadgets is a big part of the character Batman.
