Any BLT
fans here? I know it’s an old movie, but it’s one of my favourites. I have the DVD and the soundtrack (which is
also one of my favourites). Any favourite scenes? Favourite characters?
My favourite scene (which made me
a real fan of the movie) was the storm scene, where they’re trying to find Blankey and Lampy ultimately
sacrifices himself to give the batteries energy in order to move forward on the trip. That being that, my
favourite characater is Lampy… he’s just so goofy, hehe. Radio is a close second.
I ALWAYS loved Brave Little Toaster . . . and I’ll have to say that Kirby was
one fo my faves . . .
*memories of my childhood suddenly rush
back* I haven’t seen this in so long, I FORGOT about it XD. My favorite characters were always Lampy and Kirby.
I can now vaugely recall freaking out when my mom brought an old Kirby vac home shortly after I saw the film
Ah… le childhood.
Oh wow! I used to LOVE
The Brave Little Toaster as a kid! I’m quite sure I used to warily eye the
household appliances before using them, half-convinced I’d catch them blinking or mid-song… Blanky sticks out
most in my mind, but I haven’t seen it in years. When did they release it on DVD? I totally need to get it and
do some major regression!

I think the DVD came
out in 2003. It will most likely be harder to get nowadays in stores, but if that fails, you can find it on
Amazon.com (the link is

ng=UTF8&s=dvd&v=glance&n=130]here[/url]) for a reasonable price. Not that many extras, sadly, but
I’m glad I have it in my collection.
OMG I love Brave Little Toaster! One of my childhood faves. I love Lampy too- the part
with the thunderstorm broke my heart. I hated to see him get hurt =(

Didn’t John Lasseter pitch this project or something?

On IMDB.com, it says that John Lasseter was an animator for this
film. Also, Joe Ranft was a story director and directing animator.
I have very, very vague memories
of it…I watched a bit of it on YouTube just now, and it does look very good, so it wouldn’t surprise me if
some of the people from Pixar were involved with it.
I used to be terrifed of the Brave
Little Toaster movie when I was little.
I remember it, but I don’t think it was ever one of my favorites because it was kind of scary. I was
scared of the air conditioner in the beginning and the big magnet. Actually, I think I would still be scared of
them if I watched it today. I like it, but it’s a strange movie.

The air
conditioner scene scared me too, plus the clown dream… everytime I watched that movie when I was a kid, I’d
cover my eyes when the clown came up.
But those scenes played a role in making this movie so great. You
don’t get this kind of stuff anymore. I’m glad I had at least some movies like these growing up.
I love this one too. I LOVE Lampy, the cute little lamp .
