Since most of us hardcore Pixar fans will be seeing Toy Story 3 in a few hours, let’s first try to piece together the plot from featurettes, clips, and reviews. Then, after the midnight showing, see how close you were to the actual film’s plot!
I’ll start.
[spoiler]Andy’s going to college. The toys are worried about their future. Having not been played with in years, aren’t quite upset when they arrive through a garbage mix-up at Sunnyside Daycare. Woody escapes and tries to get back to Andy. While at first resembling a human retirement center, the toys find out how painful it is to be played with by little kids. Lots O’ Huggin’ Bear and his minions, still sore about having to go through that torture themselves, help make it harder for the toys to escape (as though the safety locks weren’t enough trouble). Commence A PRISON BREAK SCENARIO! Somewhere along the line, Buzz gets broken and goes SPANISH. He becomes a minion for Lotso.
There’s lots of action, including a garbage incinerator, until eventually the toys escape and are passed down to Andy’s children. Happy ending.[/spoiler][/spoiler]
