The different Little Tikes

I thought this was big enough for its own topic since there are quite a bit and I’m posting some pictures. Sorry for the bad picture quality, all I have is a DSi to take pictures with. They should be good enough to see what Tikes I’m talking about though. If anyone wants to contribute better pictures feel free to do so.

Simple List
5 fire fighter tikes (black bottoms)
1 black fire fighter tike (black bottom)
1 doctor tike (Emerald bottom)
1 blue caps tike (black bottom)
1 light blue cap tike (light blue bottom)
1 hunter hat tike (brown bottom)
1 black haired tike (black bottom)
1 cowboy tike (light blue bottom)
1 religious tike (black bottom)
1 sailor tike (darker blue bottom)
1 artist tike (light blue bottom)
Firetruck (wheels have a white center)
Small red car

Detailed List
All the tikes have white trims above their bottom

5 fire fighter tikes (black bottoms) - It’s hard to get a clear number of all the firefighter tikes with them moving around so much, but I think 5 is accurate. Also make sure you get them with smaller hats, some are bigger and less screen accurate.

1 black fire fighter tike (black bottom) - Make sure you get one with a smaller hat as mentioned above.

1 doctor tike (Emerald bottom) - This tike was custom made for the movie

1 blue caps tike (black bottom) - Not sure if an actual little tike toy
1 light blue cap tike (light blue bottom) - Not sure if an actual little tike toy

1 hunter hat tike (brown bottom) - This tike was custom made for the movie.

1 black haired tike (black bottom) - In the first Toy story, he was shown with a black trim in one scene, but is white later in the movie and all of toy Story 2. Not sure if an actual little tike toy

1 cowboy tike (light blue bottom) - Custom tike made for the movie

1 religious tike (black bottom) - Custom tike made for the movie

1 sailor tike (darker blue bottom) - Some sailor tikes have bigger hats, make sure you get one with a smaller hat.

1 artist tike (light blue bottom) - Custom made for the movie.

Firetruck (wheels have a white center) - Some firetrucks have all black wheels, the one in the movie has white in the center.

Small red car - Seen in Toy Story 2 when the toys were doing the crime scene. Not sure if it’s an actual little tike toy.

Firefighter tikes, cowboy, doctor, dark blue cap, hunter hat, black haired, and religious tike in these pictures. Also the firetruck.

The sailor, religious, and light blue cap tikes are in this picture.

The artist, cowboy, darker blue cap, and doctor tikes are in this picture.

Any information useful! I’m sure I made at least one mistake, so feel free to correct me! And again, sorry for the bad pictures.

All I can say is, you have an eye for detail, 4869! It must’ve taken a lot of time and patience to get that list down, very impressive.

I don’t know about that, but thanks. XD I saw the movies countless times so I know which scenes had little tikes in them, so finding them wasn’t too hard and time consuming. Some of the tikes have names, but I think it’s easier for people to tell which ones I’m talking about in simple terms.

Also a side note to people looking to buy these little tikes, they are also called “chunky people” on ebay and such. Since most of them are custom, you’d have to chop off an existing one’s hat and make your custom one. Also paint the bottom, and maybe trim.

The following was by Wampar in the replica thread a while back. All credit goes to him for this, as it’s really useful information.

Is this just from the original do you know if any were added in Toy Story 2? Thanks for the list, I was thinking of drawing a group shot, and this definately will help.

Yes, some were added in toy Story 2. The last 2 pictures are from the second one. I know the artist one first appeared in the second one, I believe one of the blue cap ones did as well, I think the lighter blue one. The sailor one I’m quite sure appeared in the second as well.

And did any disappear since the first movie. I’m pretty sure the firetruck wasn’t seen again.

I actually think they all showed again. could be one i missed though. The firetruck is in the second one, it’s near the dresser when Woody is looking for his hat. Also Buster hits it with his nose when looking for Woody.

I also couldn’t help but notice their absence in Toy Story 3. Did they just not feel like renewing the license or something?

Story wise, I believe that they were just some of the many minor characters that had been given away or lost over the years. The Little Tikes were really kind of a toy for younger kids anyway, so it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if Andy had grown out of them at some point, which would make them the kind of toys he’d be more willing to part with.

Yeah, but there was absolutely no site of them at Sunnyside or in flashbacks. It looks like the substituted them with another toddler toy. Still, I liked the Tikes… :frowning:

So do I. I have to admit though, the only reason I wish I still had my old fire truck is cause of being in Toy Story.

In sunnyside they had a different generation of little tikes (or little people, the name of the toy line). I know this because I played with some when younger and recognized one that I had. I also think there was a little people bus in the background.

Here’s the little person that I recognized from when I was younger.

And here’s the bus I was talking about that I had when younger (it’s still around somewhere). I’ll double check if it’s the same one tomorrow, on vacation right now.

Oh, so I guess the thought was still there then. I guess this was just to add to the feel of what looked like 80’s toys at Sunnyside.

that’s awesome!! :open_mouth:
you’re so patient!

Already posted on the Toy Story Replica thread, but re-posted here for the relevance of the content:

Here’s my original Little Tikes Toddle Tot Fire Engine and Firemen. I have a complete cohort of men save for one white fireman if I was going for the number that appear in the film (4 white, 1 black I believe). Hopefully I can buy him individually or as a multi purchase with some other assorted Toddle Tots.

I can recommend this as part of anyone’s Toy Story collection. Relatively common to find and inexpensive for what is a very nice item. Mine is a bit scratched but a good clean and a polish improved it no end. It looks great as part of my widening collection and the Toddle Tots are so awesome: my favourite background characters despite their fleeting appearance.

As previously noted on these boards, if you want to add this superb item to your collection make sure you find the fire engine with the correct white wheel hubs, as there is a more modern version with non screen-accurate all black cast wheels.

On the Pixar Wiki it says there is a Farmer Tike but I’ve never seen him and I’ve seen the films countless times is he really there?

After researching, the toyline you pointed out was indeed in the movie, but it was made by Fisher Price, not Little Tikes. Still a nice find, though.
