Sorry, but for me living in Europe the chances of spoilers are getting too high. I shall be taking a break from these forums till July. Hate to split, but waiting 11 years for a movie make you kinda paranoid. See you all soon!
yeah, me too. I won’t be on this forums until July either, I think.
You are a sad, strange little man. You have my pity. Farewell.
Meh, I’ll still be hanging around but I’ll be keeping my distance from spoilers, unless I want to do what I did when The Simpsons Movie came out and ruin the move for myself.
It’s too late for me. And I fully intend to buy the Junior Novelization next week.
Woah, it comes out next week?
Must avoid buying Novelization but buy everything else.
I’m scared of spoilers, but I love this place too much to leave. I’ll miss you, though!
Yep. May 4th is pretty much the embargo date for a bunch of TS3 books, toys, etc. as far as I can tell.
I nearly ruined Star Wars Episode III for myself after buying the graphic novel about a year before it came out. However, the movie was so good, that, in my opinion, it didn’t matter. Let’s hope the same goes for TS3.

Really? That’s not an opinion you hear too often.
I’ve decided that as long as I don’t know how it ends, I won’t really care what I hear. It’s not like I’m gonna go looking for spoilers, but if I happen upon one so be it (as long as it doesn’t have to do with the last half-hour). Either way I’m not leaving, yet anyways. Although when my Art of Toy Story 3 comes in the mail, I’m gonna have to have one of my friends hold it for me, because I’ve heard that there are some things in there that are quite spoiler-riffic about the ending.
After seeing this thread this morning I felt it was a good idea for me to keep my distance as well. Yet I fear I already know more than I wish I did, but I’ll still be around and just avoid highlighting grey text! x]
Even though I fully intend to buy the Art of Toy Story 3 when it comes out for my birthday, I also intend to stay as far away from spoilers. That means avoiding spoiler tags from anyone here who’s seen the film, not reading reviews, and especially avoiding Wikipedia summaries. I’ll even forfeit buying the miniature children’s How-To-Read book that I usually buy for PIXAR films, just because I want to be surprised.
Lee Unkrich pretty much summarized this up on his Twitter:
Reading the plot of a movie before seeing it is like having a magic trick described to you. Not nearly as wondrous.
I’m staying away from a videogaming forum to avoid spoilers for Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I like Pixar Planet too much to go on a (short) hiatus in fear of spoilers. D:
I’m just not watching anymore trailers. I think that’s gonna work somehow.
I’d love to do the same as you guys- I HATE being spoiled before seeing a film!- but I really ought to stick around and continue Modding.
I am staying on the forums and I’ll probably end up reading the plot on Wikipedia anyway. That’s what happened with Cars! I don’t really care though. I like being able to sort of know what’s happening before the fact.
But I can’t stay away from these forums. I love it here xD I’l just have to be careful and try not to read spoilers…
As of now, I am staying away from every link I see on here, because I just saw a picture of the ending
I’m staying here because there’s still other things to talk about besides plot aspects, such as mechandise. Plus, spoiler tags do the trick most of the time, but the only thing I’m sad about is that I accidently saw Sid’s picture.
Well maybe I’m just weird or something, but I like spoilers… I don’t see it as the movie being spoiled for me, I’ll just know something about the movie that the rest of my family won’t!!!
So yeah, I’m eating every spoiler I can get my grubby little hands on. I’m really sorry to see you guys go though.
