That’s true. It didn’t consider that. In fact, I was entirely wrong. It couldn’t come out this year! We’d have seen ads by now.

Hmmm…I’m not sure what to think. I thought the whole making-movies-based-on-attractions thing was done. I hope this won’t give them ideas about changing the ride too much. A) Because they just redid the WDW one and B) because I like it the way it is. Of course that would only happen if this movie is successful. I’m not into horror movies at al,l so I’d have to see how scary (and how good) this movie will be. I didn’t care for the Eddie Murphy one at all.
I’m SUPER excited for this film, too. As much as I actually enjoy watching the Haunted Mansion film (hey, it did have Celia voicing Madame Leota!), I’ll be looking forward to an actually scary version of the film. It’s well deserved and long due for a comeback. And the trailer looks so awesome!

I think another reason I really am looking forward to this film, is that Guillermo del Toro has stated that he himself is a huge fan of the ride and is trying to incorporate as many obscure character/details from the ride’s history into it. I’m really excited for the Hatbox Ghost and am dying to see him finally return to the Haunted Mansion.
This movie actually looks like it’ll be better in 3D.
