Both The Hobbit movies (An Unexpected Journey and There and Back Again) are in production and quickly coming to us. I think this is the moment to start a thread on them.

I’m excited for them, for sure. They should be good. Not alot to say at this point tbh, watched the two production videos and the odd news update, but not alot to go on.
Not read any of the books but by looking as it is basically Lord of the Rings 4 annd 5 to a degree (half the characters are there, will have the same pacing and stuff) due to the director.
They both have big, big budgets, I assume they’d split the money roughly 50-50 between two movies, so there’s a lot of big crazy battles, scenery, effects and stuff on the horizon which is cool.
The only real bad thing is they are a long, long, long way away.
I can’t wait to see them!
