The Incredibles on VHS?

Sorry for such a frivolous topic, but was The Incredibles ever released on VHS, or was Finding Nemo the last Pixar movie to be released in this format? I’m trying to update my Pixar VHS and DVD collection. I’ve seen The Incredibles for sale on eBay as a VHS a while ago, but wasn’t sure if it was a mistake or what.

You weren’t mistaken, rachelcakes. The Incredibles was released on VHS and is currently in stock at Amazon.com.

I find it interesting Michael Bird is the second voice actor listed at the top of the page. ;-p

PV- I think it’s because it’s in alphabetical order. :stuck_out_tongue:

Or perhaps we could just pretend that I’d never written that, and the reason why Michael Bird is the second listed actor is because he voices a VERY important, amazing character.

I’m actually quite surprised that they released The Incredibles in VHS. I guess there was still a demand for VHS in 2004, but I always thought that DVDs began dominating the market before then. Perhaps it was more to help ease the transition from VHS to DVD for those who hadn’t bought a DVD player yet.

Wouldn’t Brad precede Michael? :stuck_out_tongue:

I actually can’t see the name Brad anywhere on the page. All I can see is at the top of my screen, it says “Maeve Andrews, Michael Bird, Wayne Canney” and so on. I’m assuming you mean Brad Bird, and in that case, it looks like he isn’t listed as an actor. :open_mouth:

Thanks for that link, PixarVixen. You’re a legend! =)

I really wasn’t expecting to find The Incredibles on VHS since most people were onto DVDs in 2004 anyway. I also don’t know why I want it on VHS so bad, since once you’ve watched a DVD, you’ll never want to go back watching a VHS. Maybe it’s to do with having a “complete” Pixar movies collection, I don’t know. As for Michael Bird being before Brad Bird, hmmm, I’m stumped.

So was The Incredibles the last of the Pixar movies to be released on VHS, then?

It appears that way.

Sadly, VHS has been considered a dead technology for years. My mom can’t even replace one of our VCRs. :frowning:

Really? I dont remember the Incredibles being on VHS. Maybe because by that time I had a DVD player so it didnt matter. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have seen one Incredibles VHS in a WAL-Mart. It was pretty cheap. I think you can find some at your local Wal-Mart.

I don’t have WAL-MART in my country. I don’t even think any major department stores sell VHSs anymore, or not that I’ve noticed… I understand why Pixar would discontinue releasing their films on VHS, but yeah, it’s just a nostalgic thing with me to want them all on VHS.

rachelcakes1985- I saw the Incredibles VHS on a shelf in Target about a year ago. I don’t think they still have it though. And it was in Tasmania.

The first time i saw The Incredibles was on VHS.

I guess the last time I saw the Incredibles on VHS, it was in a doctors office or something.

I can see myself in the future, video chatting with my grandkids:

Me: “I remember back in two thousand…uh…uh…”
C 113: “Twenty O Nine?”
Me: “Nah. Uh…two thousand four? Yes, that was it. I remember we used to have rectangular magnetic dsic things that you’d stick into a slot in the old 2D television. It…uh…began with V…”
D 113: “Lemme google it…a V-block?”
C 113: “No, D, it’s a videocassette. Have you even heard of virtual tourism? The Smithsonian’s a good place to start.”
Me: “Videocassette? Never heard of it.”

XD

Oh boy, that sounds funny A113.
