The "Infinity and Beyond" Line and it's Fame

Is it just me, or is the line “Infinity and Beyond” more famous then Toy Story itself? I think some people use it without relizing what it’s actually from.

Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” (I think if you told her the origin of the line she would go quite red in the face  )

Zero by Charles Siefe (chapter title)

HSM1

That’s all I can think of right now, but there are loads more.

Well as a line that according to the Book “To Infinity and Beyond” a line that the writing team declared as one which would be thrown away and improved on by the time the movie it the screens…

Its been a great Success…

having helped out on an Amateur production of HSM I had only hoped that the child playing Chad had actually realized what exactly he was saying and hadn’t delivered it in such a wooden way!

I like it and on various occasions have used it in various situations all of which unfortunately cannot be remembered… but as I close in on a 5000 post on another forum… It might have some reference there…

I kind of know what you mean. I wouldn’t say it’s more popular than the movie, but it is definately Pixar’s most famous catchphrase. Some even think it somewhere in top 100 movie catchphrases ever!

Yes it is…it really symbolizes the entire movie and all of Pixar.

To infinity and beyond…

The idea that one must go to infinity and then beyond that until the bounds of time hinder any more growth.

its just a great quote…

I agree that it’s probably the most famous Pixar quote of any of their films at this time, and I can see why- it’s simple but clever and can be used in a really wide variety of situations. And that’s probably why people use it sometimes without even realising its origin, which I think is pretty cool. And then if the person does know where it comes from, even better!
