We should switch places? 30+ years in Seattle can drive you bonkers with all the gloomy weather + I live 5 minutes from the Woodland Park Zoo!
We should totally switch places! Los Angeles for Seattle, it’d be awesome. The Los Angeles Zoo reallly can’t stand up to Woodland unfortunately.
Oops, I’m having issues with my introduction! XD Sorry for being so difficult guys, I need to slow down a bit. Getting a bit carried away with this forum
Hey the name’s ffdude, but I can also go by Chris, or Cubone, take your pick!
I joined primarily do to my recent obsession with Up. I’ve seen it a total of 13 times so far, going for 14 tomorrow. Thanks to this wonderful movie and the shorts DVD, I’m considering changing my degree from Game Design to Graphic Design and Animation, for a hopeful position at Pixar one day.
Up’s a big deal to me for several reasons. I’ve never been so excited for a movie before, and when I saw it, I was taken aback. I’m determined to see it at least 15 or 16 times before the 1-month mark on June 29th. The story is the most touching and beautiful thing in cinema I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a fan of Pixar for a long time, but Up brought the inside world of Pixar to me, and now I’m determined to work for such a wonderful company.
I’m big into gaming, and I primarily play RPG’s and rhythm games, but I like about anything that’s good, I’ve been playing a lot of FPS lately, TF2, some CoD4. Nintendo and Blizzard are my number one companies, and I want to work for them someday, but now I’m having second thoughts thanks to Up. I’ve loved visual design, but never really applied myself. Now, I have a lot of motivation.
I know my introduction is a bit late, considering I’ve posted a lot today already, and I signed up 3 days ago, but here it is, nonetheless. The community here seems very diverse, and friendly, and I’m happy to find a group of people that love these movies as much as I do. It’s always nice to have a group of people to geek out about stuff we love.
Thanks for having me! Sorry about the posting confusion again guys,…
ffdude1906/Chris/Cubone: oooh…now i understand…or is it? blur
lol, ff is my general web name, Chris is my real name, and Cubone is my somewhat new web name,… long story
hey…i think we do get along each other better!
Hehe, yeah, a bit! It’s good to make friends through stuff like this.
I just hope I get enough time and money to beat Bryko in viewings!!! he’s my rival now!
I’ll probably start a 500 project like that one guy is doing for Wall-E (sorry man, forgot your name!) Once the DVD comes out. I’m already mouthing entire scenes during the movie
lol. even though i had time to watch it every time, i couldn’t do it. [emotional trouble with the movie]
yeah. you should lol. currently, i’ve been working on with the script-memorizing. lol.
The [spoil]emotional[/spoil] parts of the movie are my favorite! And i figure I’ve got at least 90% of the lines memorized word for word.
lol. yeah…
ooh…all these makes me wanna watch the movie!!!
Mike does it humongously great with the musics. the music and the movie really well-suited. and eventually made audiences cried to death. lol. am i too exaggerating?
Not at all. I’ve listened to Married Life before and cried just listening to it. I get all teary listening to most of the soundtrack, Mike did a FANTASTIC job with the score.
Erm, guys, I think you two are better off taking this discussion somewhere else - very off topic-ish.
Welcome to the forums ffdude1906! Looking forward to continuing talking with you here!
Flare: Yeah. lol.
btw, i’ve seen a lot of registered members at he index, where were they? did they just signed up for fun. funny. or they were just inactive?
Dragon: yeah, I kinda pointed that out in the Box Office thread, sorry about that. Kinda wish there was a chat room we could have moved to.
@ admins, feel free to dock some of my post count if you feel it’s necessary, I kinda went overboard there, I’ll try to post with a bit more moderation in the future. I kinda get in a buzz after watching Up. I haven’t really shown the most intelligence about posting today,… :\ Don’t have much else to do on my off days
Hannahmation: thanks! I really look forward to talking with everyone here, seems really cozy. I hope I haven’t annoyed anyone with my almost spam-like posting in the last hour (sorry rachel and whoever else is moderating right now)
[quote="wannabechef91":157zkbtw]did they just signed up for fun[/quote:157zkbtw]
I think that’s pretty much it. I didn’t want to say anything when they posted their spamish threads, but I’m kinda glad I didn’t hear from them since then.

Like Dragon said, this thread is to introduce yourself to other members here, not a chit-chat thread. Anyway, welcome to the forums.
Welcome to the boards, ffdude1906! Sounds like Up has really had an impact on you. I can’t wait to see it now, I’m sure I’ll be blubbering in the cinema.
Yeah, I got a look at Mitch’s Ratatouille review (wow, you have a great way with words Mitch!) and it’s pretty much up to par with that for me. I can already tell you’re a fan of Pete Doctor’s work so I’m sure this will be a great movie for you!
you SHOULD! the greatest movie in cinema history!!! mwahahaha…overreacting
