I’ve returned from a four-day trip to my hometown to visit my folks and relatives. We had a nice buffet reunion dinner (and I got hongbaos, woohoo!) and caught up with each other. My family and I also took a three-hour drive to Pangkor Island, off the coast of Perak. We rented a cheap-*ss Proton Wira and drove around the island. It only takes half an hour to go round it, but it had treacherous cliff roads, speeding tourist minivans and jaywalking beach bums in the town, so I really was on tenterhooks at the wheel!
Upon our return, I missed the Pixar Planet Movie Night for Brave, but I managed to silent-chat with a few on Skype - we talked about musical instruments, Twilight Sparkle, Rio, Disney being evil, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
I had to leave cos’ my sibs wanted to go to this Bubbagump outlet at the local mall (I hadn’t tried that themed restaurant chain, my sibs did once). Although I haven’t watched the movie, there were some nice quotes on the walls and the ribs were delicious! We also did some Chinese New Year shopping for new clothes. I got new underwear cos’ my old ones were, uh, old. Oooh yeah, and I saw Pixar T-shirts at Uniqlo (a Japanese fashion chain) and bought three. I’ll post 'em later.
And yeah, that’s pretty much how my weekend went. If it’s any consolation, the next one will come sooner because I took two days’ leave!

Thank you EJE! Yeah, holidays are fun, especially when you go somewhere new and with family and friends. This April, I’ll be returning to my Sydney to visit old friends, but I’ll be attending Ponycon AU (coincidentally held at my alma matter), so that in itself should be a new experience!
And yes, it was fantastic to type-chat with you on PPMN (It was very chaotic coming in late with poor Internet, I heard mostly Phileas, Pixarfan91, and thewisecookiesheet). I’m looking forward to voice-chatting on WIR, but hopefully I’ll come in early and I can identify everyone by voice!

Hi Virginia! I’m not sure that we’ve discussed anything here before, but I’ve read a lot of your posts and you seem like a cool person, at least judging by your Frozen sig which is great too! Ah, bad pun. 
Particularly your taste in Pixar/Disney movies is kind of relatable to mine, so that’s cool. Anyway, nice to see ya!
