Aww Maggie, I hope that college doesn’t pull you away forever.
Maggie- I’m sorry to hear that you won’t be spending as much time on here. But at least it’s for a worthwhile cause. As Mitch said, a lot of people are experiencing the same thing. It’s a pain. But I hope you still pop on every now and then!
Yep, guys, unfortunately that’s the way it is. Thanks for the support, though! Somehow, I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one…
Oh, yeah, definitely!
If you did disappear forever from us Maggie, it would all just feel so lonely and so incomplete here.
TSS - Aww, dude, you’re so sweet…
Don’t worry, I’m not leaving forever, I’m just not going to be around here so often.
Welcome, Rhthm!
I just found out my computer ships on the 17th - so i’ll probably be back online three for four days after that. I’m using a public computer right now…
I regret to say that I will also be taking a break from the website and board due to my overwelming school schedule which include projects, important tests for sophmores, career making choices, etc. You have no idea how sorry I am about this, but it has to be done. I’m also sorry to say that I don’t know when I’ll come back, but it should be as soon as these events have passed.
Regretably, yet slightly unregretably, I am in the same crowd as Bill. I currently attend college, am a volunteer assistant at a local veterinary facility, and have just been hired by my local Disney Store after filling in an application for a job position at the store in question. Add on the amount of homework I have to do and my Pixar Planet moderating duties, and I’m one busy bird. I’m glad that I even have time to get on here at all…
Maggie - The Star Swordsman made a good point there. This place just wouldn’t be the same without you.
Gasduude - I’m glad to hear that, dude! It sounds as if you’ll be back sooner than you thought.
– Mitch
Yep, ditto that, Mitch. Part time job, running for the school council, mentoring, and doing six A-levels all at the same time is not a good thing. It seems like we’re all the same boat- school is taking over! Darn it!
lizardgirl - Haha! Hard-working students rule. high-five (snigger)
So you’re running for school council and mentoring? Gee whiz… Good for you!
– Mitch
Mitch- Yeah, I’ve gotta prepare a speech to read in front of the entire year. I mean, I love talking and telling a story, don’t get me wrong, but speaking to people, some of which I don’t actually know personally, is a little unnerving.
Mentoring just uses up the pointless Form Time we have before lessons in the morning anyway, so to be honest, it’s just a better use of my time. And I get to help Year 9’s with their homework. So it’s all good.
It’s worth it though! Because when you and I and other people with our mentality apply for university, we’ll stand out from the rest!
Welp, I’m back! New compute and all!
Nice to see ya back too. Care to share about your new computer?
Sure, nightwheel.
Dell Inspiron 531s
Athlon 64 X2
1GB RAM
DVD/CD Burner
Integrated Graphics
19" Widescreen
It’s not a terribly advanced computer, but it sure does the trick.
Awww…! hugs
Gasduude - Welcome back, dude! We missed ya!
It’s better than mine. Enjoy you new computer
Nice to see you around again, Gasduude!
Gasduude - Welcome back, dude! Your new computer sounds pretty cool. I’m sure you’ll put it to good use.
Oh, yes. Speeches can be rather unnerving and “throat-choking”, but it’s good practice. I remember one of the first times I had to recite a report to my parents; I was completely freaked out. (snigger)
Haha! Yeah.
– Mitch
Hey GD! Welcome back my friend!
Sorry to hear about your computer, rachel. They’re such unreliable things. But glad to see that you’re back!
