Hi, everyone! I’ve been an avid reader of this fan forum to the best animation studio in the business, and I’ve enjoyed all your discussions. So today I’m taking the plunge and I would like to introduce myself. On advise of another forum member, I’m posting my intro under this thread.
My name is Andre, but my alias is The Drive-In Theatre. I chose this name because it’s the perfect fusion of my two passions in life: cars and cinema. I think you can guess which is my favourite Pixar film then; Cars is the perfect fusion of breathtaking animation and a loving tribute to automotives and racing. It also helps that one of the stars is my favourite car, the Porsche 911.
Anyway…another of my interest is film parodies, such as trailer spoofs and voiceovers. I’ve done a couple of trailer mashes for animated films such as Hoodwinked Point and Kung Fu Parody which are on my YT channel. Details can be found under the Fandom category, The Drive-In Theatre’s Videos thread.
You might also have seen me from the Varaces forum, just Google it to see what I’m talking about. I hope to engage in many spirited and inspiring conversations with y’all in the future, and I’ve also set up accounts on DeviantArt and Fanfiction, though I have yet to post anything there as I’ve been so busy churning out parody vids in time for the summer blockbuster releases, so once the dust settles, I’ll see what I can come up with. And by the way, I’m sooo ready for Wall-E. Too bad it reaches Singapore (my family’s residence) in late August, Australia (my place of tertiary education) in early September and Malaysia (my homeland) in Never Ever.
