I’m opposite. I really didn’t like The Lion King 2.
Actually, his commentary on the songs is why I think that video is genius. The songs are TLK’s fatal flaw.
I will agree I just can’t wait to be King isn’t the greatest. But I like everything else.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about, the songs in TLK are amazing.
I like the songs alot, just not I Just Can’t Wait To Be King. There are some wonderful songs in it, like Be Prepared.
I like every song from TLK. “Circle of Life” is probably Disney’s best song. Not one you’ll ever catch me singing, but artistically the best in my opinion.
I think I remember Nostalgia Critic (I watched ALL of his Disneycember videos thanks to you, PF!) saying “Be Prepared” is a bad song, but I disagree. It’s one of the best villain songs from my point of view. Plus, there are historical references to dictatorships with the way the hyenas march. The design of said hyenas and the projecting shadows and such even remind me a little of Communist-era design and propaganda. Brilliant!
NC said he loves “Be Prepared”. He think’s “Circle of Life” is nice, but hates all the other songs.

I agree 200% with what you just said. That’s really the only one I can’t stomach. I don’t love them all, but that’s the only one I can’t stand. I love Be Prepared, CYFTLT, and Circle of Life, and everything else is okay to me.
I didn’t realize so many people dislike the song I Just Can’t Wait to be King.

I just don’t get why it’s so popular. I thought everyone else loved it, until I saw the NC video. He’s a genius!! “Ï’m surrounded by idiots.” 
Really, Simba bothers me period when he’s small, except when he cries. But his singing…and that song…
I don’t hate it, it’s just my least favorite.
I’m not very keen on Young Simba either, he seems a bit like a brat to me.
Wonder if Mufasa was the same.
