The most DESIRED Pixar sequel

I agree, I don’t really mind sequels with Toy Story and Cars. But the ending of WALL-E was just too perfect, I don’t want to see it any other way, and I’m not to keen for a prequel either.

What about more WALL•E vignettes or a Pixar•Canada based short? I’d like to see the series carried on with something like that.

That’s it. TS and Cars were had a very open ending, when compared to WALL·E, UP, and to a lesser extent, Ratatouille and Finding Nemo.

Anyway, I think they should stick to originals for a while, not because I don’t like their sequels (which, so far, I’ve found superior to their predecessors), but because people start to criticize them just because they’re sequels.

I totally see what you mean. And it causes a problem with the general audience in that, if they disliked the original, it’s hard to enjoy the sequel, whether it’s better or not.

And yeah, some cute one-shot shorts would be nice. But no sequels.

Totally. Since we’re having (nearly) 3 sequals in a row, I’d like to see a few more originals after that before they do more sequels. But that’s just me.

UGH! I didn’t think about that… Oh, well… But that would be like the best plot ever for a Ratatouille 2 (or should I say: Ratatouille Touille?)

I still want newt… the day I heard it got shelved was very hard on me  Especially since they soon released all that awesome Concept Art which seemed to scream “Yeah, we know you guys were excited for the movie. And here’s a look at what you’ll never see!”

woody: I guess it would be interesting. I just wouldn’t want Remy to lose two restaraunts in a row to legal accusations of rat infestation. :frowning:

^ Agreed. I can’t see it working.

A Ratatouille sequel seems like a stretch to me. :frowning:

I think just that.

But, secretly, I want one too

Incredibles 2

Yes!!!

SoA, only if Collette and Linguini get hitched. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

^ Oh, no. The original Ratatouille is a masterpiece, that’s why.

I’m tired of shippers, you know…

Oh, sorry. But since they kissed, is it really shipping? :smiling_imp:

According to Wikipedia:

So, yes, that’s also shipping 8D

Can I offer some friendly advice…you might want to get used to it…just sayin…

I want a Ratatouille short!

Well personally I’d prefer originals from now on too, for a while at least, a very long time (I’m terrifically worried over M.I.2 but we’ll just have to wait and see about that).

However, it seems like every movie thread always has threads regarding a sequel or whatever (whether there is one announced or not there’s always one about what people would want for a sequel it seems) so I wondered what would be the most popular one out of those with no sequels yet. Just to see what people thought on the subject.

(I would not be surprised if there is some thread about TS4 though I haven’t looked… I think 3 is enough personally. I do really find that to be a terrible idea- I liked TS3 better than Up, even if I preferred the other TS but… it has to stop at that… please…just shorts from now on… please Pixar?)

I’m not surprised on the Incredibles popularity in this area, as previously mentioned, superhero movies usually lend themselves pretty well to that.

Some sequels are improvements on the originals. Some not. But the Incredibles (next to M.I. to me) are possibly the easiest to come up with a sequel idea for- or even more than one sequel if possible. (Suddenly hears some people gasp in horror).

I just kind of hope it’s NOT on the underminer or something like that if they go down that route with incredibles…

Actually this is kind of odd but does anyone get the impression Cars 2’s spy plot would actually be pretty good as an Incredibles setting for a movie? People who have already read my Mirage centric fic thread know I feel that Syndrome probably had various governmental contacts both American and otherwise, (including possibly those against America at the time)- because he’s a weapons expert and business man and that just makes sense to me. It’s more profitable for him- he gets more money for his plans plus he probably gets some kind of satisfaction from thinking he’s got people all figured out. (Fear=respect to him among other things. I’m betting BOTH the Russians and Americans in a cold war set up would fear him to a degree in such deals. And dislike him. But not want to annoy him or else he’d be getting too cosy with ‘the other side’.) And if the Incredibles world is a ‘mirror’ of ours in history and considering the time frame (and since they live in America too), they could be said to be still in the Cold war or something like that.

I think a few people might be mad that Syndrome is gone, and his weapons expertises are now gone. That could be dangerous for Bob, Helen and the family. Plus it was kind of strange how we saw no protests to supers coming again- I mean sure they saved them, but it might not be too far down the road before criticisers come up again in some capacity.

Granted I kind of like the idea of Mirage, who is good with people in general, helping supers with their image too. Since being good with people was really her job with Syndrome, so it would be a nice turn around for her, to help prevent another super ban in her own way.

I would be amused too if she and Edna had to discuss things together.

“It’s all about image darling!”

My Thoughts:

1- I voted for a sequel to Wall-E, because that would be the movie I would be most crazy for if it was announced.
2- I would prefer to watch a new/original Pixar movie as apposed to a sequel.
3- If any of these films were announced, all the fans [us] would be complaining.
4- If any of these films were released, they would all be incredible movies on par, or above their original parent-films…and the fans [us] would pretend as if we knew the film would be great from the very start.
5- I still think we wouldn’t mind any of these films, though.
