The Over-Under Game

Here is a game inspired by the film review show At the Movies.

Basically someone says something like Harry Potter movies. Then you say the most overrated and underrated Harry Potter movie and then say something else like movies about dogs.

Example:
Last person: “Harry Potter Movies”

You: Over: Prisoner of Azkaban
Under: Order of the Pheonix
Movies about dogs

And yes, the over-under subject must be related to the world of film.

I’ll Start us off- Live-action Disney movies

Over: Pirates Of The Caribbean (all of them)
Under: The Muppet Christmas Carol
Pixar movies.

Over: The Incredibles
Under: Cars and ABL
Marvel superhero movies

Over: Toy Story - It’s difficult to find an overrated Pixar movie because they’re all so near-perfect, but I hope you can see why I think Toy Story is more than any other Pixar film. Toy Story is amazing, but was Pixar’s first and not their best in my opinion. Average movie-goers always think of Toy Story first when you mention Pixar, and that’s not a bad thing, but I believe it’s a bit overrated. What am I saying? slap slap

Under:Wall-E- Now I know what you’re thinking, but just wait a moment. Everybody loves Pixar movies, but I’m talking about the overrated and underrated ones to the average movie-goer; not an obsessed fan. For that reason I was tempted to put Up, but that was very succesful at the Oscars, and Ratatouille won the average crowd over with it’s humor and writing. However, quite a large amount of smaller kids dislike Wall-E. Why? Well, I guess because there’s not a lot of talking and the story is very complex, but I believe the main reason is because it’s not as funny as other Pixar films. I think it’s hillarious, but it may be Pixar’s least funny film. Also it’s a romance and kids usually hate the lovey-dovey stuff. Is this a problem? Not at all, and the romance is my favorite aspect of the film, but for some kids out there, it can be a little strange. Now needless to say nearly everybody loves this movie anyway (especially on the forum), but I feel this is the Pixar film with the least universal consensus of positive praise from audiences. However we are still talking about Pixar, so this is a gross understatement and just my opinion that for the general crowd, Wall-E is underrated. Please understand and don’t kill me, because the topic I was given was very difficult for me.

I’m aware that I wrote the same thing as TAMATER, but to be fair we wrote both our posts at the same time and mine only appeared later because my response was longer. So to avoid frowny faces I’ll continue with the Marvel movies:
Over: X-Men
Under: Spiderman 3 (oh c’mon it’s not that bad)
