The Wall-E 500 (the ultimate challenge)

Will do…still behind you here.

^ Good, haha.

Well, I should also say this: Me and a friend are getting into the film business. I’m planning a 5 minute Stop Motion, pantomimic film on my own. I’ll be doing everything. It should be done, oh- February? My point is, I look for help in WALL-E, trying to learn from the best. So that’s helping me. I also do little mental games while watching it, such as predicting the story, words, and rating the current scenes “popularity”. It’ll be interesting what I’ll be doing later in the WALL-E 500, geesh!

Yup. I’ve successfully used my digital copy. It’s just that Nokia doesn’t support WMVs.

How’s the challenge going, EVEisawesome?

I was just on vacation, and I watched it with a big group. That day, I had seen WALL-E 3 times in 20 hours. I fell asleep mid-way last night, so I gotta watch it 1.5 times tonight. Otherwise, it’s great. 27th night!

-EIA-

I don’t think I could even do something like this. Good luck man.

EVEisawesome- Think about it like this- you’ve completed 4.4% of your viewings already! That’s pretty good going. Though I still have no comprehension as to how you’re actually managing to do this.

[update] Day 28. 4th week starts: 7/125 completed. Mental status: Ready to continue.

I’ve noticed watching the first part of WALL-E seems like 15 minutes now. On the Axiom seems long still, maybe because my brain drifts towards the end of the movie. I actually feel like I haven’t watched it enough yet. I still have not memorized it enough to play it in my brain completely; that is my goal.

The way I think of it is, I’m at 28 views. In two days I will be 1/16.6th done. In 12 days I will be 1/12.5th done! I really feel like I can do this! I’ve trained my brain hard to realize I have barely begun, and it’s going better than planned. Last night I had a breaking fever, I got horrible sleep the night before, and it was 2AM. Despite the circumstances I watch it 1.5 times. So, the worst has happened. After that, this month should be all downhill (easy)!

Thanks for showing an interest everyone! Once I buy my laptop in a few months I will make a nice blog of this challenge, and then show it to Pixar. Hopefully getting around to some publicity (although, this is NOT my directive. It’s a personal goal). I’ll post updates monthly.

hmmm… or they could just think ur crazy… (hate to be pessimistic tho

Yay! Tonight marks the first month of this challenge. So far I am 100% on track. I have watched it every day of this month. Only, uh, a lot more, haha. The views are strangely getting more exciting now that I know what’s coming. I’m giving my own audio commentary about the film in my head- it’s fun.

Otherwise, nothing new! month 2, here I come!

staying up 'till 3AM every night at my friends house, I couldn’t watch WALL-E for 4 nights. So, to make up for it, I’m watching WALL-E 50 extra minutes a night for 8 nights to catch up. It’s tricky, but I’ll feel good once I’m caught up. Otherwise, it’s going well. And thanks for making me the Craziest Pixar Fan of the boards!

41st view tonight.

-EIA-

ok, good to hear you’re still ‘on track’

oh hey, just wondrin, did u watch it for christmas or christmas eve at all? or was that a little “holiday”?

Every single day, holidays, eve’s, weekends, you name it. 500 days means 500 days, no breaks. :stuck_out_tongue:

-EIA-

haha “eves”…

I’ve lost count but I think I’ve watched the movie 15-20 times already.

Good luck on your quest dude. I’m watching POTC lately and my favorite movie in terms on comedy content is Dead Man’s Chest and my favorite in terms of epic adventure is At World’s End.

Haha, nice! Yep, tonight’s my 43rd night… Should be my 26th, but, I’ve caught up one view since 2 days ago. A few days ago I was 4 views behind, now i’m 3. So w00t! I still got to finish the big comeback. I still love WALL-E, and still find the emotional parts well, emotional. If I’m not half-asleep with a headache sometimes I’ll even shed a tear or two.

-EIA-

I hope you won’t go mad
if only not yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Good to see you’re still going at it, EVEisawesome. If I were you I would have gotten sick of the movie ages ago.

I’ve seen Wall-E 13 times now. When I first saw the movie I laughed at every joke. Now I laugh at about 2 or 3 jokes.

Good luck EVEisawsome! Don’t loose your mind.
