The WALL•E Movie Discussion Thread

I think remy has an idea there. Like mabye when the [spoil]Humans came back it was supposed to play something so it would be more… dramatic[/spoil]. idk. :unamused: Anyways i loved the movie and got teary-eyed  at the scene where [spoil]wall-e loses his memory temp.[/spoil] This movie really spoke to me. I guess.

NEVER. Never…

Heheh. Sorry about that. But, yeah, nothing shall ever replace my love for Ratatouille.

Mitch - Alrighty then. =)

rachel - Eheheh. sweats

My sincere apologies there, rachel. I overreacted a bit. Sorry about that.

I didn’t think it was overreacting. I thought it was funny. XD Like, I have this mentla image in my head of WALL-E and EVE just hanging out and suddenly along comes Mitch and is all “YOU’LL NEVER REPLACE MY BELOVED RAT! NEVEEEERRRRR!!!1one!!!” And WALL-E+EVE are all like “Huh? What? What’d we do?”

[spoil]As far as the audio player, I think the website lists it as one of his features, so it was probably always there. [/spoil]

Netbug009 - Puh-ha!! That’s funny. I’d be pretty obsessed if I went that far over the wagon.

But back on-topic…

I Loved the Scene where…
[spoil]Walle started playing the “Put Your Sunday Cloths on Song” and then started taking his garbage lid and dancing like the guys in the movie. That was just so cute the way he did it.[/spoil]

Al-bob - I liked that part, too. So much that I bought the little “Movie Moments” figurine set from that particular scene. What makes him even cuter is that while he was going through the trash, he recognised that it would make a good hat, like in the scene from Hello Dolly so he took it home. sigh I love that robot.

Heheh. Nah, it’s all good. Hence the “=)”.

:sunglasses:

rachel - Ah. Alright-y then. I’m glad I didn’t offend you. Heheh.

You know, I did notice one mistake in the film. (They were bound to screw up somewhere.) Ta-daaaa:

[spoil]When WALL•E first watches the “It Only Takes a Moment” scene in Hello, Dolly, he presses his little “Record” button on his “chest” when the song is a third to half-way through. Afterwards, he goes back out of his trailer to rid his travel/picnic box of dust, and then glances up at the stars above. It’s at this moment that he pushes the “Play” button on his “chest” so as to listen to the “It Only Takes a Moment” song again; however, the song starts to play at the beginning, even though WALL•E previously recorded it when it was half-way through its cycle.[/spoil]

I liked the idea of Wall-E installing the recorder on him, but sadly the “Digital audio recording / Playback module” is in the official features of Wall-E by Buy’N’Large. I’ve found an interesting theory in a fanfic :

“BNL engineers have completed testing a prototype in the Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class Upgrade Project, Phase I: Communication Functionality. Based on the positive results of these tests, it has been decided that future WALL•E units will be built with an internal audio recording device and a voice box capable of simulating human and other robot speech.” Funny.

And my favorites scenes are those with Wall-E and M-O, because I just really really love those two characters (sorry to Eve’s fans, I don’t really like it :p) ! [spoil]The scene of M-O cleaning Wall-E it’s so hilarious, and the one when they introduce themselves so touching, and don’t forget that’s this little but very strong M-O who saved the life of Wall-E and Eve, for Pixar’s sake ! [/spoil]

My best scene is when [spoil]we think Wall-E losts his memory[/spoil], my eyes misted over with tears and I restrained myself from crying, maybe the fifth time it happened to me for a movie !

I really want to squeeze Wall-E every time I see it

I almost cried when [spoil]WALL-E got crushed by the Holo-Detector and when EVE WALL-E, and M-O are in the garbage airlock and EVE can’t fix him[/spoil]. Interesting how you see the [spoil]holographic advertisements and billboards[/spoil] still working. I can’t believe the Axiom was bigger than the city itself!
