Ratatouille is listed as
“Coming Soon”, but the World Premiere isn’t mentioned anywhere.

Yes!!! I just knew
it! Widely released Disney/Pixar films always play at the El Capitan every year or
so, so I’m really not that surprised that the film will make its premiere there.
I wouldn’t really call
it a “World Premiere”, but more like a…“Californian” Premiere. My family and I live only an
hour and a half away from the place, so we’ll definitely be going. This is what I’m saving my money for this
year… ![]()
Oh please let there be live rats that I can hold at the
theater…! prays
Heh. Well, maybe
not live rats, Mitch, but they might serve cheese.

PixarVixen - Heheh – you never know, though! Last year,
with the premiere of the flop The Wild, some live birds from a zoo were brought to
the theater. Who says that they might not have rats this time this year? Heck, maybe they’ll let me take one
home if they bring some… (snigger) ![]()
As for the cheese: Great idea! They will probably have some
samples of camembert and the like… licks lips
Ratatouille must be a big deal if
it is going to premire at El Capitan. I can’t wait to see the people’s reaction.
I think, judging by the test screenings, that Pixar know this is going to a big deal.
I can’t wait to see the reviews for it!
Cool. it’s possible that’s where the premiere could be.
Although yer right, it doesnt specifically say. I’m interested to see what the reviews are too, once it comes
out.
Mitch:
r
They brought birds to the
premiere of the wild?
How lovely. I believe what ya say.
And yes, I go full forward with you on
possibility of rats being brought to the theater. But as long as they are clean ones though.
(Not sewer
type)
And on cheese, is that really yummy food for you?
Dory’s Defender - Heheh – nice to see you posting on the boards again. ![]()
Cha – they brought live birds to the theater, and even though I didn’t actually see it myself…I heard
about and saw pictures of the event. It looked like fun, actually.
As for the rats: Oh no, they would
never bring sewer rats in for the public to interact with; as much as I love rats, the wild ones do carry
diseases and the like. Henceforth, they’ll definitely bring pet/domesticated rats if they bring any at all. I
hope they do!
And yep – I love cheese! It’s one of my favorite foods.

Or, since this movie is all about being a chef, maybe
they might pass out some small free samples of French cuisine.
The Star Swordsman - Yeah, like some ratatouille… ![]()
You’re probably
right in thinking that – more than likely – they will have food samples to taste than friendly rats to interact
with. Perhaps they’ll have some small trays loaded with various foods that appeared in the movie (ie.,
omelletes, cheese, salads, etc…).
Usually, before every viewing of the film, the El Capitan theater
will host a stage show that lasts anywhere from 10-20 minutes – something to keep the audience entertained while
they’re waiting for the film to start.
Although, I’m hoping that there will be more than just a stage
show and the movie. thinks of hugging a rat Heheh.
Well, not a lot of people like rats. You have to think of
the whole general audience. If a rat escapes, it would be crawling everywhere, freaking people out.
Haha – yeah, I forgot about that… ![]()
Oh well. They usually have a
special section below the theater where guests/the audience can view concept art and the like from the film.
Perhaps they can place the rats down there for viewing if it is suitable. ![]()
Concept art could be a possibility. I am saying Rats is a big no-no. Bringing
in rats is too risky.
Not if they had the rats on leashes. ![]()
Will the important Pixar people actually be in
the cinema watching the movie?
I would imagine so. Usually, the "important Pixar
people" come to see how people will respond to the work they have done.
Aw man!! I wish I could attend at least one
premiere of their films in my lifetime. They should see my reactions to their films- I’m the only nut who
squeals when a certain name appears on the beginning or end credits. x3
Pfff – haha! Yeah, that’d be funny. I only wish
rats could be held by a leash, but I haven’t yet seen one that will fit snuggly
around a rats’ small body. Funny though…

I doubt that any of the Pixar geniouses will
fly/drive all the way down to Hollywood just to see how a select audience will react to their film; I’m sure
they’ll do it, just not too far from their “base”. They might just go to a local theater in Emeryville
and see how the crowds react. ![]()
That’s be awesome if Brad Bird or someone did come down here to where I
live, though! Now that I know what one of Brad Bird’s pet peeves is…I can’t wait to try it out on him. ![]()
FONY - Nope – you’re not the only one who squeals… ![]()
(snigger)
What about a
small harness or something?
And whos name would this be?
