and although zinem already mentioned, i usually can’t stand comic relief characters. there are some exceptions, but most of the time i just can’t stand them.

I agree!! I almost always love the main two or three characters, especially in animated movies, and then dislike or don’t care about the rest of the cast.

Because it’s awful, Hellish misery with cruddy jokes, atrocious character designs, terrible music, and grade D animation.

Yes. The voices drive me up a wall, and the animation is so bad, you can’t believe they’re even trying… :open_mouth:

Ugh, yeah, I don’t like Family Guy either.

I just enjoy the three Star Wars episodes, and just because they’re about the saga. And even there, I don’t think some of the comedy is good at all.

I’m just not fond of crude adult comedy cartoons. Apart from the Simpsons (at least in my opinion), they’re usually devoid of actual substance or emotion.

I agree.

I also dislike all of them except The Simpsons. It may be the one that started all, but at least it isn’t as crude, and it’s never completely devoid of values like the other shows are.

The way mouths are animated in most animes.
There’s basically only two different positions - opened and closed, which just comes off as really lazy to me.

Also, those overused anime poses, like the one giant + symbol on the head of anyone who’s angry, or the gigantic teardrop down the side of the head and blue cheeks of embarrassment, and especially that one when they sort of stick their fingers in their eyes and pull downwards so the bottom eyelid is showing.

I have to agree again!

I find most animes absolutely unnerving.

Of course there are great ones, specially when they get rid of those tropes (I’m mostly referring to Ghibli, but there are some others)

the most irritating part of animation is that sometimes too much customization is used in it…most of people today uses 2D 3D at the same time without thinking that simple animation looks much better

Characters singing and dancing at the end of the film. No seriously, this happens in damn near every single 3D animated film these days. At first it was kind of cool but now it’s getting annoying.

I can’t stand the fact that a lot of animated movies end with singing and dancing.

I cant stand the way some characters are over animated with arghhh creepy voices…i just hate them…They need to understand that animation looks good when it is simple :slight_smile:

I can’t stand when there’s a moment full of heart and some character says a joke that kind of kills the mood. I sometimes think animated filmakers are afraid to let the heart felt moment play out for fear of loosing the audience attention.

I wholeheartedly agree. The humor in it is just…man…let’s just say it’s not my cup of tea.
