i know its a bit off topic but can someone please post jenny from thinkways email. their normal customer service one isnt letting me send for some reason
I gave jessie a few days to grow on me but she just didnt. I ended up taking her back today.
Thanks for the pic. I guess the reason they made so many revisions (which still apply to TSC Woody) was for safety, but that only makes me wonder why they changed Jessie back. Oh well, I heard they also changed the pull-string mechanism. Can you notice anything different with the way it works? Might just be that the string was stronger, because I think I remember that my cousins’ was broken.

what was wrong with it? Just didnt like it overalll, or was it a quality control issue?
She just didnt feel like jessie to me. She sounded and looked off and i wanted to buy twitch. So I returned her and bought twitch. However, shes not so bad that i wouldnt consider buying her on sale.
I’ve never seen a better in-scale Jessie though. The next best one is Mattel’s newest, and that one’s too small.
Not sure if anyone else picked up the “Magnetic Buddy Storybook” that comes with the small plush Woody, but I noticed something interesting about the model used for the Woody doll. It’s the same one used to make Toy Story Collection Woody! Woody is making exactly the same facial expression, and his mouth is even filled in, like the toy. His hands appear to be in the same pose as the hands on the toy, too.
So if anyone was wondering what that “digital data” looked like, well, here it is! More or less…
(And for the record, the book spoils the movie, just like all the other storybooks, so be careful if you flip through it. I haven’t read it myself. I just bought it for the Woody doll…)
Well we’ve had a pic of the digital data for a while now, it was shown in John Lasseter’s youtube video.

Ah, you’re right! I guess I do remember seeing that now that you mention it. Even so, it’s still sort of interesting to see that they used that version of Woody for something else.
Speaking of the digital data, don’t the certificate say the toys are made from the first movie’s flies? Maybe it’s just the colors or the shaders, but somehow it doesn’t look like it’s from Toy Story. ![]()
I think it just says something akin to “original data files”. doesnt say which movie the data came from. I wouldnt be too shocked to learn its actually the toy story 3’s data. but I cant be sure. I would need to see wire frames, or at least close ups of all 3 models to pin down which one the TSC uses. they have different topology in the face.
I have a feeling the TS3 model translates better into real world materials in 3d space than the original movie’s data. reason being things like his collar and elbows were paper thin. they gave them more thickness with each movie.
The model used for the magnetic doll is almost certainly the Toy Story 3 version, given that it features the updates from that version such as the extra wrinkles in his clothes and the larger pull-string ring. The back of the doll does show Woody from the back, and a lot of the updates are more visible there for some reason.
So, assuming it’s the same model used for the Toy Story Collection, and it almost certainly is given the facial expression and hand position, the TSC toys use the Toy Story 3 models as their base.

Kickass man, I havent seen this picture. Do you have a larger version of it? I wanted to redo the legs on mine, I want them skinnier and just like that side view.
Just click and drag the pic to the address bar for the full res.
Edit: or if its easier…

Thats as large as it gets. I screen grabbed it form the HD version of the youtube video. I wish I had that same shot of a front view of him, but they pan up as he turns toward the camera, cutting off his legs in the process.
I almost caved and bought the new mattel ken doll packed with barbie but he just looks so crappy. Has anyone reviewed this set? Also, if anyone has animal lovin ken for sale, or sees one on ebay with a buy it now option, let me know!

I’ve had my reservations about if I should even bother with Jessie and Lotso. They both seem flawed from what I’m hearing. I’m not that keen on the Jessie head sculpt at all. Now with the whole awful voice job I’m a bit stuck. I need a Jessie in my collection for sure. I need a mix of both the Mattel and thinkway versions.
Buy Lotso. He is way better than people are giving him credit before

I gotta say, when standing next to Twitch and Ken,Lotso looks really good. Still a little small but better.
