Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Velcro in the back. not very complicated.

Yep. Like Kyle said, there’s a velcro flap on his back, under his vest. Open that up, turn him off, and unscrew the panel.

I know about the velcro in the back, however I cannot get the actual battery case out. Unless you aren’t supposed to…but then I cannot flip the switch or unscrew it

just push it back from the front, it’ll pop out.

Pushing Woody’s chest does not get his battery casae out.

Also are all Buzz’s left legs supposed to be bent more than the right one? Because the second Buzz I gothas this problem

PLEASE GIVE PICS!!! i need proof, man!!!

Not his chest, more like his belly button. the bottom will come out first, so thats where you need to push, not the top.

and negative on the leg thing.

Then that is so weird how I got a buz with the exact same problem…however, I dont really feel like returning and exchanging it again; Do you think its a minor problem? (He can stand totally alrite, its just that one of his knees sticks out a litte)

Also, I got Woody’s battery case out!!

I’d have to see it to say. I have a feeling your just not pushing it hard enough. the ratchet joints are very stiff and hard to move, especially fresh out of the box.

I live in Tulsa/OKC area and i live at vintage stock, and i have no idea what you are talking about…

I decided yesterday to finally pick up a Jessie figure at my local tru. They had 7 in stock. Once again I was shocked at the damned awful qc. Dire paint apps, misshaped collars, twisted body and misplaced buttons. The one that seemed perfect, apart from slight paint bleed on the teeth, had a broken voice box.

I checked the Mattel version and they were all worthy of purchase. Why is it that Thinkway seem to find it so hard to have consistent qc with their figures? Maybe Mattel can give them a few tips.

I’ve all but given up now on getting the tsc Jessie. I prefer my Mattel version anyway but it would be nice to have finished the tsc set.

Wait so are both the legs supposed to bend? Because neither of the Buzz’s I got could bend there knees

Use the “force” Luke.

Sweet now both my legs can bend, however I can’t get either of them now to get straight. Buzz still alot better with slightly bent knees, however

Just went out to get Woody, Jessie and Buzz. No problems at all! They are perfect!!!

My Brother Has All The COLLECTION Toys. I Have To Admit That The’re Pretty Fun.

I’ve noticed recently that the black patches on the front of my Woody doll’s “cowhide” vest have started to fade a bit. The pattern on his back is still very crisp, though. I don’t know if this is from handling him a lot, or from exposure to sunlight (my shelf faces the window, although that window doesn’t face the sun). I’ve never noticed any black coming off on my fingers, and I can’t imagine that only a couple weeks of sunlight exposure would do that.

I do find it a bit funny how I’m so anal over a toy… It IS just a toy, I’m not “collecting” them as heirlooms to pass on to my grandchildren or anything. I guess I just want him to stay looking like himself—as in, looking like he does in the movies. I suppose I could always touch up the black spots if they get too faded.

One note to the people who’ve been using Sharpies, or thinking of doing that, to darken the white stitching on the black patches. Sharpies are not lightfast (meaning they are not resistant to fading from exposure to light) and I have no idea how they react with fabric over time. The Sharpie ink might fade or discolor over time. I would use—well, I don’t know what I’d use, but I’d make sure it’s both lightfast and rated for use on fabric.

Sorry for offtopicness, but how do I upload pics from Flickr?
