Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

^^^^^Thanks, I found it.

Anyway, I just found out that I will not be able to go to the store with the Hamm on Saturday. Which sucks because on that day I will get every single TSC toy I can find. (Im going to the giant Toys R Us in NY, along with several Disney Stores) (Yes, I called every DS on the way to see if they have a Hamm)

Later next week I will post pics of my complete collection minus the Hamm. Because of that, I hope one day another accurate Hamm will be made for people like me who missed it the first time.

The store 30 minutes away from me had those Hamms for months now. I am positive (for your store) that it is unlikely for someone to buy them within a week. If these stores have been able to have leftovers, it must not be in high demand in the area. So, try going for it when you next can!

I’ll see if I can convince my parents to take me on Saturday. If not, maybe the way back…I just really want a Hamm!

I love how they make a popular toy that’s in heavy demand in very meager quantities and at limited locations (my Disney Store never had it).

The exact same thing happened in 1995, and we all know how rare that became.

My TSC Woody’s vest is coming off, should i return it to ToysRus or something? What should i do?

That happens with pretty much all of them, the stitching on the vest is primarily ment to make Woody look nice in the box. What you could do if you have any skills (or know anyone) who is fairly decent at sewing could stitch it on for you.

I wouldn’t really suggest taking him back to TRU, because the odds are that the same thing would happen again and you’d be in the same spot you are now. Best thing you can do is either live with the vest not being attached, or sew/have it sewn on. That’s what I did to my Sheriff, and it works fine. But if you just have the vest on him, it won’t damage Woody’s shirt or vest, so technically he’s fine, but it just depends on which look you prefer.

in the movies, do we ever seen anything that for sure shows that it is sewn on?

Not that I recall.

Nothing other than the fact that it doesn’t move independantly from the rest of his torso, and that when he bends over, the vest is still tight on him, and it never comes off. It’s not 100%, but my guess is that it is sewn on. There is more evidence that point to it is, than there is to sugest it’s not.

Ok, thanks, i’ll try to sew it back on

2 Questions:

Once you bend Buzz’s knees, is it possible to make them straight again? I can’t seem to be able to do it.

Also, does anyone else’s Woodys have this problem? His arms can’t go up enough to touch his hat, and when hes standing up, his left leg always tilts to the left.

(Also anyone know a good stand for woody? The one i got at JoAnne fabrics doesnt fit)

Woody in Toy Story has shoulders where his vest is on and his armsmove freely but, the TSC Woody doesn’t have enough shoulder so his vest is kinda off and his arms are stiff since they sticted his arm to his side instead of the way it was in the movie. Is there anyway to get his arms to move freely like it does in the movie? And does the TSC Buzz Lightyear have the abiltiy to sit down the way he did when he had the rocket strapped to his back and sitting on Sid’s Shelf in Toy Story?

Mattel Woody

Just wonder if any of you guys in the USA wanted to get hold of Mattel Woody as I have one going. I picked him up on offer but will take him back to the shop if nobody is interested. I can get him to the USA for $71 shipped via unregistered airmail. It would be more as a tracked package. I’m not making a profit, it’s just the cost of the doll plus shipping.

He is actually a really nice version, his body seems slimmer (like the Mattel Jessie) compared to the TSC version and he has a smaller vest which seems more accurate to the movie. He say’s different phrases including “You got a date with justice, One-Eyed Bart” and “I’d love to join your pose boys but first I’m gonna sing a little song”.

I’m tempted to keep him myself if nobody wants him but I really need the cash to buy Rex so will have to take him back! If anyone wants to know more please PM me. Cheers!

Of course.

Everytime I try, the gray thing doesn’t move and it doesn’t lock into place. I don’t want to break is legs, also

EDIT:

I could make Buzz’s right leg become straight, but his left leg still cannot become totally straight, just like when I got him and the Buzz before hand. I’m wondering if everyone has this problem or am I just really unlucky…

Yep, the shoulder seam is vertical, so the arms can move forward and back but are kind of locked in the up/down direction. Moving the arms up requires twisting the shoulder. It gets a bit more flexible the more you handle it and work the stuffing away from the shoulders, but you’ll never get it as flexible as movie Woody. They can make his shoulders stretch in ways that aren’t possible with the real-life toy.

And yeah, the left leg twists outward on mine too. Maybe that’s by design, to give him that John Wayne cowboy stance.

Well both Buzz’s Ive had (I had my original one exchanged due to faulty electronics) didn’t have any leg issues, other than requiring a lot of force, but their all like that generally. I will say though my current Buzz has a problem with shoulder joints not wanting to rotate (on its Y axis specifically, not the the X). I can do it with a little force, it just isn’t smooth like the older ones Ive had. anyone else’s do that?

When I have my Buzz’s arms down at his sides and then try to raise them out towards the front, they seem to “catch” on something, so I either have to rotate them around behind him or move them to the side and out to make them go smoothly, so I guess you could say mine has a similar issue, or so it seems. Not exactly sure what causes that though.

My Disney Store just got in 4 hamm banks yesterday. None of them were perfect, in fact, none were as good as the one i already bought (which has its fair share of imperfections). TWO of the four the mouths were cracked on the inside, one actually had a hole in mouth. This is such a popular product, but the quality control issues are RIDICULOUS

Hi guys I went into tescos to find a utility belt buzz. I already have the normal tsc buzz. I was wondering can the utility belt come off of buzz ?? Thanks !!
