Well you wont even be abkle to se them so it really doesnt matter. Thats like saying the inside of a woody doll shouldnt be black. Who really is bothred by it?
Besides, I’m sure that by the time they decide to release Mr. P the leg inserts will be colored blue. And if they aren’t, well then it’s nothing a simple splash of azure oil-based paint can’t solve.
Yeah, as nitpicky as I might be myself, I really dont care much about the shoe pegs. The one piece eyes will forever bother me though. And to a lesser extent, the white ear pegs are white when they should be pink. This one is actually vissable if you look closely.
Back to the eyes, I really cant wait to see him with his alternate eyes and whatever other pieces he has. Im wondering I might be able to tolerate his eyes a bit more if their closed more and maybe a less happy mouth, since it’d a lot more in character.

I hope Thinkway Toys decides to make a non-electronic Mr. Potato Head in addition to the TS Collection version, like they did with Rex and RC. I mean, the collection version looks beautiful but I’d rather have a less expensive, non-talking Mr. Potato Head with removable parts. Besides, the original Mr. Potato Head didn’t talk in the first place, so while it is a nice feature, it’s not that important to me.
just wondering people, are there anychances that they make the utility belt buzz from toy story 2?
I honestly doubt they would make a collection version although i could see them making a cheaper version and giving it a removable belt.
they probably will, but personally I wouldnt want it because the mold wouldnt be as spot on. call me spoiled but at this point I only want toy story toys that are made from the digital data. no matter how good of a sculpter they get to make the cheaper version its not going to be as good as the collection versions.
I do agree though, talking features are pointless on toys that never had them in the first place, at least not in a replica line. Leave that for Mattel’s lines where they focus on play value above accuracy.
Anyway, Still no rex for me after another day of hunting yesterday. saw plenty of Green aliens though. they must be selling well because they seem to restock those more than many others. I almost bought one a pack, since I do still need it for my collection, but I want rex to be my priority, and Im not sure I’d have enough after that to get both. if I still cant find Rex in like, 2 weeks I might resort to buying online.

Amazon prices are usually inflated though. the price of the ones in store would be lower I’d imagine. Hes overpriced as it is, I dont want to pay any more than I need to, and Im pretty low on cash. any money I get comes from selling stuff since I dont have a job. (cant seem to find one)

Yeah, I know about the Playskool version Hydrova, I used to own one back when TS came out. But you see, it’s not the film accurate representation of Mr. Potato Head by Thinkway Toys. You see, when they made the Toy Story Collection toys, they also released a more affordable, less expensive model of the toys as well, but with the same model as TSC:
So the toy I’m hoping for is to have the same model as the TSC version, just with out all of the ostentatious electronics.

Oh just saying cause i seem to recall you saying you hoped they would release a cheaper one. Just saying. But good point though. Also good observation since both the aliens and the army men are from Thinkway and yet don’t have electronics.
I mean, it’s not that I’m complaining or anything, but I’m just not that interested in all of the talking action features within the TSC series (with the exclusion of Buzz Lightyear, who’s features are an obvious requirement). The only thing I look for in a movie-based toy is film accuracy, which is why I was slightly disappointed with the current Mr. Potato Head and Slinky Dog.
I really dont think the “new” slinky dog is new. Just a repackaged version of their old one. Like the various older Thinkway Buzz’s.
That’s why I’m severely disappointed when I heard that Thinkway Toys were not making film accurate versions of Slinky Dog. But as you suggested, perhaps Disney did not tell them all the characters they wanted to be included in the line.
