Can I add to the Potato Head debate. I know it has three main innacuracies: long legs, put together eyes, no back compartment. However despite these I still think it looks awesome. The box is cute, the electronics rock and even without modding it still looks quite close to an accurate Spudhead. I saw it in a toy store and nearly considered getting it instead of the Buzz I did buy. It’s next on my list. Around my birthday and Christmas I’ll pile my money together and get him. He looks so cool.

I know I keep saying this, but you are pretty much on target. The legs are VERY easy to modify if you have the slightest knowledge with a hacksaw and screwdriver, and if you can pick up some custom eyes somewhere he looks fantastic. Even with just the legs mod he still looks great. He’s still a fun toy, and that’s really the main point of it. YouAreAToy, if you are a fan of the character he’s definently worth picking up. Not for the full $50 mind you, but closer to $30 you should grab him.

But you’ve gotta have Buzz, so good choice either way.

I bought the thnkway Buzz lightyear and all i can say is that is Awesome! altought one thing that keeps buging me is that he still doesnt have arms long enough to touch his face, i know weird to complain about something like that :unamused:

I have a question, if i have the normal Buzz already, is the utility belt Buzz worth the money? what functions does he have that the normal buzz doesnt have?

I like the color variations, but I don’t need more toys, and they’re likely not cheap.

I saw that disney store set in person today.Kinda neat but not worth 80 bucks to me since the buzz orignally cost 20 and that woody only has 5 phrases.

Hi Toy Story fans like me!

I’m from Spain and I started my TSC few months ago. So far I have:

  • Old buzz (not TSC)
  • Woody & Jessie (TS and beyond pack, good quality, ANDY on boot)
  • Disney’s Store Slinky

I’m planning to buy all the TSC avaliable here on Spain (Buzz, Woody, Potato, Rex).

But there are 2 not avaliable, the 3 aliens pack and the Hamm Bank.

I contacted to Disney Stores and they are not giving me info about this.

So, here is my question, can someone from US sell me that ones? I’ll be very pleased. Also here in Spain the TSC series are in Spanish… so, if somebody wants an Spanish talking Buzz, just as the movie, I can do the favour :wink:

Mabril, the Hamm was made by the Disney store exclusively, not Thinkway. It’ll be hard to get him for a good price. :frowning:

I am looking on eBay in an attempt to get a Hamm. Can’t see this being easy! To those who have one, what is the measurements for him? Don’t want to get excited and get a small one. Seen a few on eBay but the sizes are like 2.5 inches in length, 1.5 inches in height. Seems too small? Be greatful if someone could point me in the right direction :slight_smile:

Hi Mabril and welcome to Pixar Planet.
If you want to buy the Aliens in Spain yuo should look for it in a “corte Inglés” or Toy´s r us. They are aviable in most of those shops. Woody and Buzz are an exclusive of Toy´s r us. Unfortunately you have to wait until Jessie, Bullseye and Potato head spanish version will be released (as you might know Disney´s store collection versions are in english) .

About Hamm, I recommend you to buy it on Ebay, sice that toy is now out of stock in the US. By the way, I recommend you to wait until the DVD´ll be released in Spain.

At Disney´s store Bonnie´s toys will be aviable again plus a lot of new stuff at the end of octover so, Hamm is likely to be aviable in Spain too.

The problem is that here, in Mallorca Islands, at El Corte Inglés they have: TSC Buzz, TSC Rex, TSC RC and no more.

About the aliens I’ve never seen them. I’ve contacted Giochi Preziosi, the Spanish dealer or Thinkway Toys, and they said me that Potato and Lotso in spanish would be avaliable at El Corte Inglés and Toy’s R US.

Also, I’m very dissapointed because toys like RC costs about 15 $ in US and here in spain, they are about 70€ (90-100$ USD) at Toys R US…

I’ve to point out that I’ve seen TSC Buzz, Woody and Bullseye at Carrefour, but for about 65€ each.

About the Hamm, I’think I’ll wait and see if in october they sell them at Disney’s Store…

Hi rember me I haven’t been able to post for a long time due to computer problems but any way I have good news for Hamm buyers I talked to a disney store rep and he said hamm would be start selling alot by the time of toy story 3’s dvd release so hes not to popular now but he will be which is great for those who don’t want to pay ebays out rages price.

Regarding the bucket o soldiers, I have checked out a few reviews and a lot them say they have no Sarge. With mine I have one who I thought was Sarge, he had binoculars and a pistol. Had another look and found one with binoculars and saluting. Was well chuffed! For the price they are very satisfying in the collection.

There are two versions of the bucket of soldiers, the ones without the sarges are the ones without the Certificate of Authenticity.

Well, I was at the Mall of America yesterday with my mother, we went into the Disney Store and they were greatly stocked on DS Buzzes, so I passed on that and just decided to actually get the TSC Buzz first, and maybe the DS Buzz some other time. If I’m lucky, I’ll possibly get the TSC Woody before xmas too :smiley:

The one with the COA. Its pictured on the bucket.
And there are a lot more differences than just the sarge. their all new sculpts. they didn’t have the digital data when they made the first one. The newer ones are direct copies of the geometry and poses from the film.

Also, the COA less one technically does have sarge, he just also happens to be a para shooter, which makes no sense.
