Thank you. I hope that everyone will be as lucky because it is about time we get a collection we’ve wanted for 10 years now. He is 11 1/2 inches long 7 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide.
so your description of the plastic Hamm is made of confused me a bit. Is he durable? also does he have any movement? I dont think he does but its worth asking.
No no movement just the cork. I think he is made out of a hard ceramic or plastic, i’m not really sure but yes he is durable I just wouldn’t go dropping him cuz he feels like he might chip.
alright cool. Im an art student so i should be able to tell if its ceramic or not. If its not its most likely plastic.
This is a very late update on my collection that I’ve been meaning to get around to. Just so you know I did manage to get a Woody doll, however it’s not the Toy Story Collection Woody but the regular one. After the stores where I live pulled the collection one off the shelves and it seemed like they weren’t going to have him any more I had to resort to getting one of Thinkway’s cheaper variations (which they do always have) instead. In the case of getting Mr. Potato Head I may have already been speculating a bit on how he was turning out or that I may not find him, but the TSC Woody was a must-have for me cause I wanted him to go together with Buzz. Kind of disappointing that I couldn’t find him anymore, but I do think it’s smart of Thinkway to still make the same toys outside of the collection.
As far as I can tell it’s still the same design, but of course since it’s not from the collection it loses all the special stuff:
No fancy certificate.
No display stand (though I guess it’s only purpose is to keep Woody standing up since he can’t on his own).
Only has 15 sayings while Buzz has 65.
I also remember someone here posted a topic about Woody’s belt buckle in the collection being made gold while in the films it’s more yellow. I guess the one on this Woody must be more accurate then.
My other new addition is the Chatter Telephone that’s going to be in Toy Story 3. This one may not have been made with Toy Story in mind, but the box it came in sure screamed collection to me. It would be more fitting though if I get Lotso.
And here’s my attempt at recreating the scene from the trailer:
That’s all for now.
Well that Hamm certainly looks like it may be the closest thing that we’ll get to an in-scale version. I wish Thinkway would have done one with the TSC certificate, but at least that one will look great on the shelf with the other toys. That’s all I ever really wanted anyway. Now I’ve just gotta find one. My sisters both live in the Dallas area where there are several Disney stores, so I’ll have them start checking around. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Yeah thats surely an excellent find on the hamm figure, i wish i knew where closest disney store is…i’m still trying to find Mr. Potato Head
P.s WOW ONE HUNDRED PAGES!!!
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE FOR 100 PAGES.
We derserve a reward and a free toy story collecton figure.
Did the Hamm come in a box and if so can you put a picture up.
You will be super awesome if you do
He said it was not in a box. Just a tag around the neck.
I was wondering a few things, though, that I didn’t see answers to…
-
What are the dimentions? Can we get the actual length and height of the Hamm figure?
-
Is the cork a real cork? (It looks like it.) Or is it just plastic?
Other than that, I think it looks awesome.
I do find it sad thinking back to when I first saw that picture of the Thinkway Collection with the prototype Hamm and Potato Head next to each other on the table. I was so excited to see those, with my only complaint being Mr. Potato Head’s eyes not being seperate. However, when he was actually released, not only were the eyes still together, but they added the legs, which (to me) is worse than the problem with the eyes. Plus it looks like we finally are getting an in-scale Hamm, but probably not an official TSC Hamm with certificate, which is unfortunate. When I see that picture, I can’t help thinking about “what might have been” with the Toy Story Collection.
thank you, does anybody have a flickr account so that I can see there actual toy story toys. not only the collection figures
Hamm looks great. I would love to add him to my collection but it’s hard enough trying to get Rex here in the UK. I can’t find him for love nor money. As for making a tsc version of Hamm, I can’t see it happening. Apart from giving him a voice box, what else can he do? It would be a hard sell trying to convince anyone other than a collector that he’s worth $40 or more. The same goes for Slinky. Wheres the gimmick with these two? Parents won’t pay big money for a Slinky that talks and does little extra that the cheaper one does. Mr P will sell to the hardcore like us here, but pass that, people won’t part with $50 for him. My kids would much prefer the cheaper Mr P simply because he offers more in the way of interaction. I think the aliens got away with doing nothing because of their cheaper price. Yet saying that, my local TRU has a stack load that wont shift.
HAMM! At last!! It’s been far too long!! is he out for sale now?
P.S. someone should make a post back on page 1, or something, and update with character release dates and pics. It’d be easier to navigate now that this thread’s on page 100!

I agree. I wished Thinkway would have done these characters since they were the most accurate versions ever available (despite a few of them having some details that were off), plus getting the certificate for each one is cool. But as far as electronic, I don’t think Hamm or Slinky (or Mr. Potato Head for that matter) should have them. And as you said, the Aliens (and the Army Men) were Thinkway TSC figures that didn’t have to have electronic versions. So I just wanted a Thinkway TSC version of Hamm and Slinky (and a few other characters that will never come out), but not with electronics in all of them. (That way we might have gotten a Slinky with no hole in the head.) You’re right, though in saying that it would be way too much to pay for them.
I just checked at the local Disney Store and talked with a rep there. Hamm is the only new TSC/full size figure coming out at this time. The stores will be putting out a new display on the 24th at night for opening day on Monday the 25th. No store are suppose to be putting out the Hamm figures until then. They do have smaller TS3 figures as well the first wave TSC figures available for purchase now.
Awsome so does that mean online then to .

I can add some stuff but we dont have release dates.
That is only with the Disney Store physical locations.
OK here is Drum roll please!!!
I WANT! I WANT! I WANT! I WANT ONE NOW! lol
That is amazing he looks brilliant!
I’m soo jealous! Potato Head and Hamm!
Kyle That’d be awesome if you could
I’m SO happy you can store (real) money in Hamm this time, instead of the plastic coins and stuff that came with the previous Hamm version. (I was really upset when I got that for my birthday)
Hamm looks epic!! Also, 100 pages! woot! I may or may not be buying Hamm, depends on my money situation at the time I find him (if I even do). Alright, so we’ve got Woody, Buzz, Rex, Hamm, RC, Bucket O Soldiers, Jessie, Bullseye, and Lotso. I don’t think I’ll be buying Spud Head even if I do find him, as I want SEPERATE EYES! (I would also highly appreciate no legs, while not necessary ) There is a nice Slinky out, but I personally think his plastic is too polished, his pullstring is in the wrong place, and he doesn’t have leather ears.
So…
I
WANT
ALIENS
WITH
SQUEAKERS!!!
Along with seperate-eyed Potato Head, a leather-eared Slinky, Bo Peep w/ Sheep, Mrs. P, Wheezy, Zurg, Prospector, Lenny, and Rocky!!! This should not be too much to ask for as this is supposed to be the Definite Toy Story Collection!! Bo Peep better be in TS3, because if she’s not, chances are “never” on a to-scale or TSC Bo
Anyway, this is a question mainly directed towards Kyle, the guy who seems to modify his toys the most, do you think it’s worth the time and effort to paint TSC Woody (and Jessie, for that matter)'s belt buckle the correct orange color as the cheaper versions? This also goes for the small circle around the red thing on Woody’s gun holster, as it should be a lighter color than gold. Thanks.
