I really don’t like the idea of Jessie/Woody. Just picturing them together in my mind scares me somehow.
Surprisingly and shockingly, yes, haters for those pairings actually DO exist. I’ve seen it for myself. :\ And I’ve seen a lot of other disturbing things that really ruined my childhood innocence of what Toy Story and Pixar were.
I swear, it’s like people in fandom are always coming up with newer and worse ways to shock me. It never fails. sighs
I know. I always thought of Jessie as Woody’s pestering little sister. I’m not into “shipping” either, but this junk really scares me…
Well, it could be worse. We could have to deal with WxB shippers (Trust me, I’ve seen 'em) XD
YES! As a big fan of Sally I feel your pain.
Wait, people don’t like Mickey and Minnie together?
UNBELIEVABLE!
INCONCEIVABLE!
DOES NOT COMPUTE!!
Who do they pair them with then? … on second though… I’d rather not know
Yeah, I don’t either! When I look at them, I see brother and sister! They may not be brother and sister, but that’s the sort of relationship they hold I think.
Well, there’s a weird Midsummer Nights Dream adaptation where Mickey accidentally falls in love with Daisy…
Downs a quart of Brain Bleach

Ugh! That’s an awkward relationship!

I mean, Disney and Pixar aren’t even like Anime or just regular drama TV-shows, where you get love triangles and then people pick a side then get into dramas, fights and other lol-worthy things with other people on the internet. The pairings are already established from the start, like with a prince and a princess, and vice versa. I mean, all of Pixar/Disney’s couples are just so blatantly canon and just… THERE.
YES, this makes so much sense to me. It’s why I too was kind of aghast when I first Iearned that there is “shipping” going on for Toy Story. However, I’ve kind of learned not to be surprised by anything on the Internet…
Pixar’s intentions? I wonder. Hey, I thought I read somewhere that when TS2 was conceived, Pixar considered pairing Woody & Jessie (naturally, right?) but decided not to because of the Bo Peep factor (breakup drama not being something Pixar would ever touch upon in these movies). Can anyone confirm this? (I may have read it somewhere in this forum even, but I can’t remember.)
Woody with Jessie makes very little sense to me mainly because of the way their personalities clash. They really butt heads a lot (as can be seen in TS3). I think they have quite different perspectives on life, and even though they are friends and they care about each other, they maintain a bit of a grudging respect for each other. A romance this does not make. That’s how I see it.
