This speech recognition software that is built into windows vista only half works, but I managed to use it to make this post. The only thing I didn’t use it for was my password.
I feel sorry for the people who have to actually use this in everyday life because it works so slowly.
Has anyone else ever tried it before? What were your experiences like?
Vista comes with speech recognition software? I didn’t realise this. 
Either way, I’m not surprised it’s rubbish, especially if it comes free with Vista. I would imagine that those who do actually need to use it probably buy a better speech recognition software. The mother of a friend of mine uses a really cool one (though this is on an Apple computer as opposed to Windows), and it works incredibly well.

it’s like the DS; you have to speak the Queen’s english for it to understand anything. MS Office 2002 comes with speech recognition.
