I know for a fact I’m not the only one who doesn’t understand this; my friend and I talked about this last night, and my parents have mentioned the same thing:
Why exactly do they play TI during the 25 Days of Christmas marathon every single year? As far as I know, there is absolutely nothing in that film that has to do with the holidays, Christmas, winter, or anything; and yet, it’s played over and over again during this event a dizzying amount of times when plenty of other holiday-themed films could just as easily be played.
I’m not just saying this because TI happens to be my least favorite Pixar film - I’m just trying to figure out how they justify putting this film on TV as a part of the 25 Days of Christmas marathon. Has anyone else besides me found this a bit strange as well?
little chef
Christmas is a time for family, and The Incredibles is a family film! Or maybe because Frozone has ice powers.
I agree with the reasons The Doctor provided. I think because TI came out during the holidays as well that it was later decided to put TI on the 25 Days of Christmas special.
Are they showing it again this year as part of this? I know I got to watch TI on ABC the other week (In HD! yes!), but the only Pixar related commercials I’ve seen for the 25 Days of Christmas thing are the Marathon and Ratatouille.
How Can You not like the Incredibles?
Editted by TSS: No shouting please.
The Incredibles isnt the only movie they show at this time that has nothing to do with Christmas. On one hand, I dont mind it, because I dont mind watching movies on TV, especially if they’re Pixar ones. On the the other, I kinda wish they’d stick to Christmas type fare and maybe save the non-Christmas things for other times of the year. Now, I never watch ABC Family outside of December, but do they ever show Pixar movies at any other time?
You have a point, lennonluvr9, they should stick more to haoliday moovies for the holidays. But, I like it anyway because that’s the only time they show The Incredibles on ABC family. I have the DVD, (duh), but watching your favorites on TV is better, because then you know they’re still relatively popular.
I saw the Incredibles last night. It was great to see it again (counting the fact that I haven’t had a computer to watch my TI DVD for almost about a month now.)
I’ve seen it on TV so much, I know exactly where the commercials start and stop.
I saw it last night too, along with a little bit of Ratatouille on TV.
