Ok - so I was watching Tin Toy today
and I noticed that Tinny (the Tin Toy) looks like a toy version of Bass from One Man Band. I don’t have caps
yet to show the resemblance but it’s uncanny and I wonder if Pixar used Tinny as the “basis” of the
design for Bass.
That’s definitely possible- Pixar are very good at intertwining their different films
and shorts.
Yeah, I wondered this whilst watching the video as
well.
Also, both shorts have an interaction between a one man band and child.
Except in one short,
the OMB is taller than the kid (Tippy), and in the other the OMB is SMALLER than the kid (Billy).
If
that’s the case, than Tin Toy inspired two future PIXAR projects: Toy Story & One Man Band!
Yeah, sometimes they list Tin Toy on YouTube as a Toy Story prototype video. 
Some people do not have a clue. 
Well originally instead of Buzz
Lightyear, it was going to be Tinny. I’m glad they made that change!

That’s a bit of an
oversimplification! Tinny was in the very original version of Toy Story and did play opposite to an early Woody,
but it’s a bit of a stretch to say that it was Tinny instead of Buzz.
Huh, there
was original versions of Toy Story.
