YES! It’s december my favourite month of the year!
Snow, holliday celebrations like sinterklaas and christmas and to top it all its gonna end another year for me, one that I am more then happy to close. So it’s time to stock up on fireworks and light the sky december 31st!

do you like december? yes/no? and why?

lol It’s the holiday that gets me excited.

I really like Christmas, actually. I love it. I mean, there’s this spiritual feeling of some sort going round during the occasion, right? It’s really warm, gives you that cozy feeling when you just sit by the fireplace on your cottony couch, watching “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Ah, so nice and peaceful. Silent night indeed… till the Grinch appears! Hah hah! :smiling_imp: lol

I don’t think it is simply because the holidays were supposed to be about family, and nowadays it’s all about buying gifts. That, and I can’t get the thought out of my head of that guy getting trampled to death at WalMart just because a bunch of nuts wanted a hundred dollars off of some TV. :stuck_out_tongue: This holiday makes me sick, and it’s not only because it’s a stolen holiday anymore.

But … I’m trying to look on the brighter side. I’ll be happy if all I get is a headset and a Macbook.

Ack, I definitely agree about the “rush”, FONY. Plenty of stores around here were having sales on black friday and there were lines everywhere! I guess people will do anything for a sale these days…

All in all, I do like the holidays. Not for the sales, presents, and such. (Okay, maybe a little for the gifts…) Anyway, the time off and the ability to spend time with family is something that makes the holidays even more great.

P.S. Luckily for me, I got my present early. (Mind you, I’ve had the mind-set for quite a while.) A new 24" iMac. It’s absolutely wonderful! Sure it set me back a bit, but it was definitely worth it! Look at all that screen! drools This page itself doesn’t even take up half!

and look at me, “stuck” with an old 400MHz Power Mac G4 and apple 17" studio display.

Ok, who’s the humbug that voted ‘no’? :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know if December is my favourite month… probably my fav month would be July because that’s my birthday month. But December is usually fun because of all the Christmas events, the silly season seems to put people in a good mood, the school year is about to end so all the kids are excited about that, and it’s Summer here, so we get to have BBQs and swim in the pool and go on picnics, so that’s always really nice to get outdoors (at least before the scorching hot weather kicks in.)

I am wavering. The fact is, once you get into it it becomes fine, but I’ve got a mess to untangle from all of the year!

Yeah, okay, I’ll say yes. Don’t look at me like that…

Mreh, it’s alright. I do like Christmas, but the build-up is too much in comparison to the actual day, which is always vaguely disappointing. But I like the whole sitting by the fire, all snuggled up, listening to Christmas carols type idea. Unfortunately, having to work Boxing Day means that Christmas will be over all too soon.

I am. For good reason - I generally like it, but I don’t like the unnecessary fatal hype that sometimes comes with it.

Hey Vekoma, Glad to see you back on the forums again.

Well, December isn’t my favorite month, but I do love it. Loads of Christmas songs on the radio. THats comforting for the ears. Christmas, a time of giving, cheer, and happiness. Disneyland goes through a change. Beautiful scenes of houses with Christmas lights decorated everywhere, and of course breaks from school.

THe only complaint I have about our 12th month is the lack of snow we get here where I live.

I love the holiday season! I love being around friends and family and listening to Christmas songs and playing in the snow! It’s just a really festive time where most people seem to be cheerful. The only thing I don’t like is how commercial the holiday season has become.

I love Christmas so much! Today my roommates put up a Christmas and I was so excited they started laughing at me, haha. But it won’t really feel like Christmas until I go home (I’m at school right now). I’m very attached to my family’s Christmas traditions, so doing it any other way doesn’t feel like Christmas.

I love Christmas. The only problem that I have with it is that it ends so abruptly.

December is my favorite month. I love how festive it is. I love the lights and the music! I love them so much that I strung up lights in my car and have an obscene amount of Christmas tapes that are constantly playing.

My dad is Jewish and my mom is Catholic, so we get to celebrate Chanukah and Christmas. Plus, my birthday is in December!

I don’t really like chrismas all that much. =/

I love Christmas. It is a great time of giving and joy.

:bulb: Here’s my christmas present to you all:

My new year’s resolution is to never do this (!!!) in 2009!

Merry Christmas, everybody :sunglasses:

You lucky duck! :open_mouth:
