'Tis the jolly month!

I love Christmas so much! Today my roommates put up a Christmas and I was so excited they started laughing at me, haha. But it won’t really feel like Christmas until I go home (I’m at school right now). I’m very attached to my family’s Christmas traditions, so doing it any other way doesn’t feel like Christmas.

I love Christmas. The only problem that I have with it is that it ends so abruptly.

December is my favorite month. I love how festive it is. I love the lights and the music! I love them so much that I strung up lights in my car and have an obscene amount of Christmas tapes that are constantly playing.

My dad is Jewish and my mom is Catholic, so we get to celebrate Chanukah and Christmas. Plus, my birthday is in December!

I don’t really like chrismas all that much. =/

I love Christmas. It is a great time of giving and joy.

:bulb: Here’s my christmas present to you all:

My new year’s resolution is to never do this (!!!) in 2009!

Merry Christmas, everybody :sunglasses:

You lucky duck! :open_mouth:

Sorry for the triple post, but who would vote ‘no’ in this poll?

StarRider? Could it have been you!?!?

Edited. I combined all of your posts. – Mitch

Oh my! Now there’s two no’s!

Im afraid so but I have a good reason! ;-p

TS2 - Please refrain from triple posting. Thank you.

– Mitch

Anyone else got their Christmas trees up yet? Just put ours up two days ago, going for the real thing this year, though my cat insists on ripping off any baubles that are at the bottom of the tree.

Mitch: Ok, Ok! :unamused:

StarRider: What’s the reason?

I’m not horribly excited for Christmas, but I don’t hate it. =/

Did I read that someone hate Christmas? A Grinch is round the corner of the boards?! Where?!

Oh, it’s you, Star Rider… never mind. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, the tree is up since sunday now and I got the whole house decorated with all sorts of things and lights.

Gonna buy presents for the family this saturday.
ITS CHRISTMAS TIME WOOHOO!

Yes, December is a merry month. And yeah, how can you not love Christmas ?

I can say i’m nuetral…

Love…
Christmas Tree
Lights
Songs
Food
Family

Dislike
Work (my dad takes me on 1/2 of the jobs he gets and he gets lots around this time)
Stress…the lights setting up…the tree setting up…the presents
Not enough free time to myself…

December holidays are great because…

School is over.
I don’t have any work to do.
I can do whatever I want.
I can draw more pictures.
Decorating the tree is fun.
Staring at the presents is fun. :stuck_out_tongue:
Playing Christmas carols on the piano is fun.
When Christmas comes round, I will finally receive things that I was waiting for. (this year it will be a new stereo and a music stand ^^ and maybe art markers!)
I can sleep in.
It doesn’t snow here, but it’s sunny instead because I live in the southern hemisphere.
There’s something about Christmas decorations that makes me feel happy.

Not great ONLY when you get bored from staying at home.

Christmas holidays have officially been ruined by A-levels. I have seven exams in January (4 maths, 2 physics, and a psychology tagging along at the end), and the best time to revise for them? The Christmas holidays. Moo.

Though the holiday lost some of it’s sincerity with all the commercialization, I do love the lights, making candy (we make English toffee and give it as cheap gift to teachers and people like that (; ) decorating the tree, the GOOD Christmas music (I prefer Chorus of Bells to Frosty the Snowman), Dinner with the fam, so yes, I do like this month. Sure, some people ruin it with the “buying gifts” and make it more of a day for spoiled children to get what they want than a day to help others and spend time with each other (not to mention Christ’s birth, how often do you hear about THAT at this time of month anymore? :stuck_out_tongue:) but if you just enjoy it and not worry about commercial things, then it is really a wonderful time.

December is my favorite month of the year–although I absolutely despise winter. Once all the presents have been unwrapped (this isn’t the highlight of the season for me, but it’s always signified the end), I want the snow to melt and for neutral or warm weather to return.

My absolute favorite thing about the holidays is the general cheerfulness, then the movies/TV specials/songs, and finally the decorations and food.
