For those who haven’t seen it, check out the Ninja Turtles
teaser…
apple.com/trailers/wb/teenag … jaturtles/
I really can’t tell any of
them apart and there faces are a bit too stiff, but other than that I’m presently surprised. I’ll admit I’m
not a big fan of these guys, but I like the look and feel of the trailer, so who knows, maybe I’ll find myself
buying a ticket for it next year.
Lololololol… oh my… that was so long ago when Ninja Turtles were like, THE thing. Ohh…
good memories. Even if I didn’t like them much because it was a “boy show”. I was a rather girly girl
(but I watched power rangers… but I was always Pink Ranger of course).
Once again, I meet someone who didn’t like Trini .
. .
But what can I say? I was a Tommy, myself . . .

I was frequently the pink ranger too
believe it or not.
Did you know they’re owned by Disney now - freakiness…

It’s a decent trailer - I kindal like the fact that they actually made them look like teenagers as
opposed to adults but it’s also taking some getting used to. Being such a fan as a kid you know I will be
there!
Off-topic-ness I wanted to get out of the way:
I watched Power Rangers. And wouldn’t you know, I was always the pink ranger, too.
We had “so much” in common: long, brown hair, and a love for the color pink. Come to think of it, I
wear so much pink nowadays, I probably could still pass as the pink ranger. (Except for the fact that I don’t
know a speck of martial arts.)
Thank goodness it looks like they went back to the humor
of the original show… I remember seeing a bit of the recent show and it skewed very dark… I didn’t hear one
“Cowabunga!” or a single reference to pizza… I don’t think I’ll actively go seeking to see this
one, but if the group decides to rent it, I won’t back out…
Off Topic: Aw . . . Kimberely & Tommy . . . good times, good times!
And don’t you
wonder how Disney can think we’re idiots by not realizing Power Rangers AREN’T toons!!
On Topic: I
never watched this show/movie. EVER. And I have nothing against it. It actually always looked kinda cool. I
just never found the chance to watch the show!
I did however get a toy Turtle some time in my youth . . .
the kind that turn from turtle to ninja (by changing the head, arms & legs). It was the purple banded, dark
brown turtle!
Oh God, that brings back memories! I was a bit of a
tomboy as a kid, TMNT and Mighty Max were my whole world. XD I was always
Leonardo, because he kicked ass and wore blue!
The trailer looks fab! I’m really curious to see
what they’re going to do with it.
On a side-note, isn’t the Pink Ranger in the Japansese version a
man…? If you look closely at the fighting scenes, which they keep the same, the Pink Ranger suspiciously loses
her chest and gains some serious muscle definition.

Oh, great! Now I’m gonna have the TMNT theme stuck in my head ALL day!
Man, I’m
tired of studios making films out of old fads. I remember watching TMNT as a child, and enjoying the humour
(pizza!). The ending of the trailer was kinda funny… it broke the seriousness which made me breathe a sigh of
relief. But still, I don’t think this movie is necessary. I like watching new things, I guess. And the animation
doesn’t really ‘wow’ me either. Not that I think the traditional 2-D animation will be attractive in theatre
audiences today… sadly.
I’ll still wait for the next trailer before deciding.
I’m actually sorta surprised they’re making this- TMNT
were very popular, but that’s a long time ago…I agree with Aggie- I don’t think many people will be blown
away by this film, and that those who see it are generally going to be the massive fans of TMNT, rather than this
appealing to a wider range.
I always
thought it was the Yellow Ranger… anybody know where to look for stuff like that?
Would anyone be
interested in splitting off a Power Rangers topic? A nice way to talk about one of the shows of our youth…
Just Started one in Off Topic. BTW - AWESOME

Hate to burst your bubble KE - but they ARE reaching back to the original comic for this one.
The creators feel that’s where the first movies fell flat was by straying too far from the comic and having to
much (creator’s words) “cowabunga and pizza.” Although the first one had some great depth to it, this
will not be that. Though I’m very curious to see the turtles in their pure original form, this isn’t the same
show that we grew up with.
Well, darn.
Knowing what some of my friends like, though, I’ll probably end up seeing it anyway… oh well.
I love TMNT. Ever since I first heard about it, I have always acted like one. My
favorite character is Leonardo. He uses swords and is a good leader.
