I know there’s not enough information to deduce that, but Tony strikes me as the school jock. I’m tired of the protagonist girl wanting the jock to like her.

So, Violet liking him is what makes Violet a less likable character to me, and as Tony is the responsible, I dislike him :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, okay. :smiley: I became confused because of the post order. 8D I just thought that was interesting, since she hates Mater and Holley. I guess I’m the only one who likes/defends Mater, but I really like him. :frowning:

And I totally understand that Tony thing now. Personally, I dislike Vi because she annoys me. the end. :stuck_out_tongue: 8D

I don’t like Mater a lot, but I still think you’re right. If you dislike something, you should let everyone dislike what they want too.

So I don’t think this thread is pointless. But I don’t think there will be a lot of people who make the whole 25 characters list 8D

Oh, I simply can’t. I don’t think there are that many bad Pixar characters.

Some characters are meant to be annoying. So that’s actually good writing, you’re supposed to hate them. But you really don’t.

I understand that. But I guess I have some sort of complex or something. I get very annoyed with characters in movies. Like, at least as much as real people. 8D When this happens, villain or not, I despise them from then on.

IV: I actually really like Mater. I’ve read that he’s based on a real person and, in Cars 2, partly on John Lasseter himself, which I think makes him cooler. I find him funny and appealing, and I should stick up for him more than I do :slight_smile:

Oh, well, I’m saying that because of a Joe Ranft tribute that is on the Toy Story Blu-ray.

They mentioned that he played various characters, including one with large teeth, and that he inspired Mater, but he probably wasn’t the only one.

Well I did think Dory was pretty funny, but she just kind of annoyed me in a way. I feel the same way about her like how some people felt about Mater.

Well, Mater was definitely based in part on a man named Mater that they came across on a road trip, like DD said. It’s on the Cars 1-disc DVD.
