Touring Pixar- Is it possible?

Haha, that’s the spirit Hannah! They won’t know what hit them!

I’d like to get a peek inside before I live there as well, so that’s really the only reason I’m concerned about this. You, me, and Mitch are totally gonna end up working together, just wait!

holds arm up in the air and jumps wildly Ooh, ooh, me too!!! I’m comin’ with you guys!!! 8DDD Together, with our combined talents, we’ll blow that studio off its feet!!!

Of course, little chef! We’ll be an unstoppable creative force.

Yeah, totally little_chef, sorry! I just talk to Mitch and Hannah the most about that stuff, I haven’t really kept track of everyone who’s heading that direction! We’re gonna be awesome!

ffdude1906: Heh, it’s no problem! You wouldn’t have offended me or anything! It’s just that Mitch and I have been saying for a long time now how we’re going to work at Pixar together, and when I saw you three all “banding together”, I’m like, “Ooh, I’ll jump in, too!”

There really are a lot of members here who want desperately to work at the company, but have never really said a lot about it, like me. So I’m sure there will be a mass of us flooding the gates at Pixar one of these days… the Pixar Planeteers will finally be where they belong!!

I went on a tour of pixar a few weeks ago. A family friend won it in an auction and she invited us. It was awesome! We didn’t get to meet John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, or Lee Unkrich, but we met Brenda Chapman and Pete Sohn.

dannix1000, wow, that’s so awesome! It’s pretty cool when you meet any of Pixar staff. I kinda guess that they’re warm and friendly…

Touring Pixar is amazing huh? It is like really cool.

Haha, that’s awesome! I really wanna meet Pete Sohn, I hear he looks and acts a lot like Russell, which is pretty awesome considering I kinda act like him too. :stuck_out_tongue:

“Good afternoon. My name is Russell. I’m from Wilderness Explorer Tribe 64. something-something 12. Are you need of any assistance today sir?”

If Pete Sohn asks me this. Yes I need an assistance to be a Pixarian. Please?

We didn’t talk to Pete or Brenda much, but when we said hi to Pete, he did a little dance.

I’m gonna be one of those, you just wait.

Haha! Oh, I so envy you, Pete is the Pixarian I want to meet first and foremost. Such an awesome writer and director, and he seems like super friendly and funny. Maybe I’ll get an invitation or something! (Haha, yeah RIGHT)

wannabechef, haha, you dork. I’d really like to meet Peter Sohn though, apparently I act just like him, considering I act almost exactly like Russell (cept I’m 20 O.o)

It’s amazing how casual it is there. We saw employees roller-skating through the building.

We also got to see the art and sculptures of Up. It’s so much cooler to see them in person than in a book!!!

They took you through the Up gallery?! GAH! I wanna go sooooooooo bad, you’re so flipping lucky! That feature I found on twitter was so awesome, I can’t believe you got to GO! Geez!

Our tour guide was sworn to secrecy about all the details, but he said that he was working on the 2013 and 2014 movies.

Okay dannix1000, I’m officially very, very jealous of you right now. And that’s cool that they’re really as relaxed as they say they are- I’ve seen in a few DVD featurettes now stuff like the Pixarians going about on scooters and that sort of thing, but I wasn’t sure whether to believe if it was actually like that all the time until now. Did you get to see the work places or offices of some of the employees there? Are they as wacky and creative as they show on the extras of the DVDs?

We weren’t able see much of the offices, because some of the animators were probably working on future films. But when we did catch an occasional glimpse of offices, they were often filled with random objects. One thing that was pretty amazing there was the room called the Renderfarm. All of the processing computers needed to render each frame of the movies are located in that room. We didn’t actually go in, but we saw it through the glass doors.

Yeah, I’ve heard of that, it sounds pretty cool, the rendering process is soooooooo time consuming. So, what all did they take you through in the studio? And how was the encounter with Peter Sohn? DETAILS!

We didn’t really talk to Pete. Basically, we said hi and he did his dance.
