Toy Story 3 D**** speculation thread

IF ANY MEMBERS WHO HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE FROM SCREENINGS AND SHOWEST FIND THIS THREAD, DON’T POST ANYTHING, NOT EVEN IN SPOILER TAGS, ANSWER YES OR NO. THANK YOU.

Okay… I seriously doubt something like this happens, but…

Are there any character deaths in Toy Story 3? Good guys or bad guys? Even implied or offscreen ones, like Muntz in Up or Coral in Finding Nemo?

Again, DO NOT POST WHO IF ANYONE DOES INDEED DIE, NOT EVEN IN SPOILER TAGS.

To reply, if you’ve seen the film, just post Yes. or No That’s all I need to hear.

This thread canbe a speculation thread for possible character deaths.

[spoil]No.[/spoil]

This sort of brings up an interesting topic though. Can a toy really die? Or, even when they’re in pieces, do they live on?

I always assumed that Combat Carl was killed in the original film. He was blown up into very tiny little pieces.

Yes I agree about Combat Carl. If a toy is severly damaged beyond repair, I feel like they are dead and there is no coming back.

Well, only special toys can function when they’re in pieces, like Potato Head, but that’s probably because it was intentional. Other than that, it’s not clear when a toy can no longer live, but Combat Carl was definately killed.

The mutant toys are directly relatable to Frankenstein; take a bunch of nonliving parts, and put them together to make a creature. I’d consider them zombies more than anything, but they definately do still retain memories and such.

The broken toys that came alive in Sid’s backyard are another thing. I guess if a toy doesn’t really have a chance anymore, they’ll go into a dormant state, unless woken up by another toy.

I don’t know if any of the toys die in the movie since I haven’t seen it. If I had to guess… a toy can’t die of old age( obviously), but maybe if a toy is set on fire or blown up beyond repair then it might be dead. That’s really the only way I see any of the toys dying.
