Interesting! The story is ‘stronger’ than before or
they’ve overhauled it entirely? I’d hope for the latter! I’m not sure a third venture into toy-land is really
warranted, though … what more could they really do? Oh well, Pixar has yet to disappoint ![]()
Didn’t a while back Pixar talk about how they had a story idea for the third? Back when
Disney was heading towards making it themselves and before the merger?
I only remember it because they talked
about it centering around Jessie (heh) - but I don’t remember how long ago this was …
I’m sure
whatever they have planned would be better than what they announced about the circle 7 version … them going to
Japan I think or something … I remember being confused because they suggested it was the toys first time
venturing outside the room. Which … if anyone has ever SEEN the movies … knows isn’t true. o_O
When working on links for all the
movies - all the info I found corresponded with the Buzz getting recalled script but I would certainly not be
surprised to see that change with Lasseter back at the helm.
Right
right - now I remember that.
But in all logic … I don’t really know much about how recalling toys would work
– but really - how WOULD they take Buzz? Unless they request people to send the toys back - but I wouldn’t
imagine Andy to do that. =(
I was horrified when Disney was going to make it … and now I’m thrilled
that its back in the proper hands of Pixar. I don’t trust Disney with sequels. If they can kill their OWN movies
Yup, I was just like all of
you when I heard the news about Disney doing Toy Story 3. I didn’t expect Pixar to move on with it… Toy Story
ended nicely… but who knows what they might have.
It’s been quite a few years since another Toy Story
sequel was made. Kids watching it have been growing up, and now a new youth audience can fall in love with these
great characters!
What really gets me is how much these kids love these characters already! My day job is cast
member at the local Disney Store and kids of all ages love Buzz! I see some kids come through buying a whole
horde of buzz stuff and when I do the math I realise they were about -3 years old when the first movie hit
theaters. It’s truly a classic film/series in every sense of the word now. ![]()
As long as this film comes AFTER the film after Ratatouille
. . . then that will mean they’ve put at least the same amount of time as they’ve put in the other
films.
I don’t know why I’m so worried: If PIXAR’s doing it, I should feel fine.
But it
definitely needs 4-5 years of Production right?
I would think so. I don’t think it’ll be the next film after Rataouille…
heck, it might not even be the next film after that!
The average Pixar film takes approximately 4 years to produce with current
technology but the sequels actually only take about 3 (based on the actual numbers for TS 2 and other estimates
of new technology) in part because many of the models and sets are already made up and require only tweaking
rather than having to be made from scratch. ![]()
Hey
everybody! Cool SITE I waited till 12 to see it O : - )
Anyways, Toy story 3… I kinda had a feeling they
would, but for a good reason. These are great great chachters, I mean theyre very very much alive and it would be
sad to see these amazing well thoughtout chachters die on 2, if that makes any sense. I mean I wanna see more of
woddy and buzz and everybody because theyre not just a movie, or computer images… theyre real… and they really
really are.
Im looking forwards to anything Pixar has to offer.
Well apparently Steve Jobs and John
Lasseter hated Disney’s script idea and they said if Pixar did TS3 it would be based around Jessie the Cowgirl.
That would be cool i think.
At the end of the day,
with a few of Pixar’s main guys in control, Toy Story 3 should come out pretty well, but I’m afraid that
everyone has got tired of the Toy Story theme generally. On the other hand, familiarity with the previous films
might mean that, having remembered how much they enjoyed the previous ones, children will go to see the new
one.
I hope the
sequel will be as good as the last one. But it is a Pixar movie. It will do good.
I remember wanting a Toy Story 3
shortly after Toy Story 2 came out. Now I’m not quite as excited…but of course I’m still going to see it.
With Pixar in charge, it should still be great, even if it isn’t quite as good as the original(s).
But then again, you couldn’t take PIXAR too
seriously when it came to potential sequels. In one blooper reel alone, PIXAR joked about a potential
A Bug’s Life 2 and Toy Story 3 . . . .
