Toy Story 3 Poster?

It looks great, it reminds me of the original Toy Story poster where Buzz is flying and Woody is holding onto his arm. They both have that “in-your-face” appeal to them (and the stills don’t appear in the movie).

It also looks a bit misleading, though, when it comes to the Sunnyside cast…

I like this one for the reasons mentioned above: like that background colors and because of its “in-your-face” imagery. I think I also like the tagline “The Great Escape” better than “The Breakout Comedy of the Year” :stuck_out_tongue:

I find it interesting that Ken is shown escaping on the poster as opposed to being with lotso

[spoil]We don’t know which side Lotso et al. are on at the moment, or whether they’ll have a ‘change of heart’ towards the end, so it’s all up in the air. But yeah, maybe this could be a case of ‘deceptive advertising’ to fool the audience…[/spoil]

Anyway, love the new poster. I still prefer the ‘Breakout Comedy’ one, since this one looks a bit cluttered and the perspective is not as dramatic, but I like that they’re giving Buzz some of the limelight and are trying to go for a more dark and moody feel.

Just found this its a another international poster featureing potato head heyuguys.co.uk/2010/05/01/mr … y-story-3/[/img]

For those curious, here’s the LEGO Poster.

Looks like it’s inspired by the Toy Story 2 teaser poster (which was inspired by the original Toy Story poster).

Man, that LEGO poster really makes me want them to do a LEGO Toy Story video game.

That’s what I was thinking of too when I heard the film would have a big tie-in with LEGO, but now I think the Toy Box Mode stuff in the Toy Story 3 video game will be even more fun.

and besides, it will probably exclude certian characters that can’t be transferred to lego i.e Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and Slinky dog.

All those characters are also licensed. But they’ll probably find a way to transfer them to Lego for a video game, like some of the Star Wars aliens.

Still, I wonder how they’ll handle real people in the game. Would they still be people, or would they make them minifigures?

What if they were life sized human Lego scutpures? like what you see at legoland and whatnot?

I think that would make the most sense in the context of a Lego game, but it would be weird to see them move. Deforming minifigures looks a little odd already, so full size Lego sculptures moving around would really look odd. Scaled up human minifigures would look pretty bizarre, but I think they’d probably work better overall, should a game be made.

I was browsing the Japanese Amazon site and I found an alternate version of the Toy Story 3 international poster. It has Woody in the front instead of Buzz, and the whole positioning of everything is a little more cramped.

Anyone has the “Great Escape” Poster on high quality? Or the one where they carry the huge “3”?

New posters here: movieposterdb.com/movie/0435 … ory-3.html

Some are reprints with the entire logo, while some are entirely new, like [spoil]Lotso hugging the “3” and the logo.[/spoil]

Some of those I’ve never even seen before! I’m pleasantly surprised by the Lotso one holding the 3:

Quite huggable!

Nice find! The Lotso one is very cool.

That poster is probably my favorite TS3 poster. I love it.

Awwww, Lotso looks so cute! <3 I can’t believe I’ve not seen this poster before. Good find, Rayhawk! And I agree, very huggable! :stuck_out_tongue:

Rayhawk that poster is awsome! It really fits in with Lotso loving to hug!
