Toy Story 3 teaser

Hello everyone, and happy New Year! Now I’ve been wondering what the Toy Story 3 teaser will be like. It will probably be something like, GUESS WHO’S BACK? THE TOY STORY GANG!!! Then it will show Buzz and Woddy sitting on the couch eating popcaorn watching it, like the WALL-E trailer. Or it will show the green aliens in the claw machine saying, it is coming! It is coming!!! Then a big three comes down, and squishes everyone. {Just like the Toy Story 2 trailer.} Who knows!

Yeah, I haven’t thought about this yet…I think Pixar has got to find the balance between familiarity of the old, and at the same time, presenting something new and exciting. Watching Toy Story 2 the other day, and sometimes there were perhaps too many references to the previous film. But as a whole, Toy Story 2 is hailed as one of the few sequels that is as good as, or, in some people’s opinions, even better than the original. So the teaser has to include some elements we all know and love, but at the same time, it can’t be a re-hash of the original Toy Story.

What it will actually contain, I have no idea. Teasers don’t tend to tell much about the storyline of the film, do they? After all, we only know the basic premise.

Here’s how it’ll go.

It’s just a black screen. You hear the announcer say:
"IN 1995, THEY CHANGED THE FACE OF ANIMATION.

IN 1999, THEY DID IT AGAIN.

AND IN 2010…"

You see (adult) Andy looking down at the toys in a box. He grabs the box and puts it in the front of a building. Andy walks away.

The announcer starts talking again, but the shot doesn’t change. Woody and Buzz peek out from the box.

“…THEY JUST WANT TO SURVIVE.”

Camera zooms out, and the building has a sign which says “DAY CARE”. The door of the building creaks open, and a hand comes out and grabs the box. The shot still remains the same (just a picture of the day care). Silhouettes of babies abusing toys are seen through the window. You hear babies cooing and laughing while the gang is screaming in pain as the babies swing them, drool on them, and throw them.

Screen goes to black again. All of the gang steps in onto the black plane. Woody says:

“It’s good to be back!”

A baby runs onto screen, chasing the toys. They all run for their lives. The “Toy Story 3” logo appears on the screen. The announcer says:

“TOY STORY 3. ONLY IN THEATERS JUNE 2010.”

The logo blacks out, and the trailer ends.

I’ll guess we’ll have to look for the trailer in the movies during the previews for Up.

I think that’s the first we’ll see the trailer because I never heard of Monster’s Inc. until seeing Toy Story 2’s opening previews!

Not nessicerily Look back to the WALL-E trailers… and think what was missing unlike that of Cars, and Ratatouille and a Vast Majority of Pixar features; Up did not feature in the trailer presentations, Disney’s Bolt and High School Musical 3: Senior Year did.

Will Pixar Place a TS3 trailer before Up?
I hope so.

Will it be released a few weeks after the release of Up?
I hope not cause I hated watching the Up trailer after being given links to it on a forum… Although it was a pleasure to watch you don’t get it with full flavour like you should first experience it.

Will Pixar Use Buzz and Woody for a Superbowl Advert this February?
Well Up ios the feature, and it could be used to Boost the anticipation of Toy Story 3, like it did with WALL-E for me personally.

Maybe just one catchphrase will return…

The Toys Are Back (High School Musical 3 Track -The Boys Are Back)
The Toys Are Back In Town (The Boys are back in town track- i believe this was used for Toy Story 2 though)

Whatever the teaser I hope its fun… enjoyable… and gets my anticipation through the roof!

you know, one of the main reasons I want to see Up is because they’ll probably have the Toy Story 3 trailer before it.

If you remember…they didn’t have a trailer for Up when Wall E came out. They had a trailer for Bolt. I imagine they’ll do the same this year. We’ll see a trailer for either Toy Story 3D or The Princess and The Frog.

For a teaser…they wouldn’t even have to do much and i’d be excited. Especially for toy story 3.

This would get me excited.

White screen…silence, and then suddenly “YOU. ARE. A. TOY.” Have a 3 pop up on screen with the boys are back in town playing. And i’d be jumping up and down like a seven year old.

I was extremely excited to hear about a Toy Story 3! And the teaser will be worth the wait im sure.

I’m just glad it’s not one of those “straight to dvd” sequals, with none of the same voice overs.

That’s because Pixar doesnt want to do those. In my history of Pixar book, it mentioned that as one of the reasons they were upset with Disney. At the time (if I remember correctly this was around the time Pixar was threatening to leave) Disney planned to do a direct-to-video sequel (with Disney people, not Pixar people, working on them) to all the Pixar movies whether Pixar approved of them or not. Plus they always say they’ll only do a sequel to a movie if a good story presents itself.

Ya, i knew Pixar themselves didnt do the straight-to-video sequals. I just think its kind of a slap in the face when they are released.

Open Season 2 just came out on straight-to-dvd and it looks terrible.

My younger sister watched that last night! It was totally like a classic straight to dvd sequel, totally cheap and none of the same voices

^ yupp i realized that on the commercials. I own the first one, and i have absolutel no intensions on buying, or even ever watching the sequal.

OS2 looks like the stupidest direct-to-DVD sequel in the history of movie making!!! The first one was kinda good, but seriously, isn’t just about weiner dogs jumping on patio chairs and forest rangers?! Disney makes me so mad when they realease sequels like that because some of the times they clearly could have made it fine in theaters. (Although that is a little rare! ) Does anyone agree? Anyone?! :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:   :exclamation:  :exclamation:   :exclamation:  :unamused:

I think your confused… Open Season is made by Sony Pictures Animation

I know Woody, I had like two things going on at once. Talking about OS2 and Disney staright-to-DVD sequels. Sorry for any confusion.

Here is the trailer:
