new info vids some old [url]http://see.walmart.com/gamecenter/toy-story-3[/url]
I LOL’d at being able to ride a “shrunken Bullseye”. I’ll have to try that myself.
I go to Walmart for things all the time where I live, so I’m glad I now know about the Walmart exclusive parts in the game.
Zurg: “Most impressive!” pushes alien Alien: “Wheeeeeeeee!!!”.
I feel bad for Woody though.
Hadn’t seen this elsewhere, but there’s been an announcement think you guys should be aware of
have seen this on a couple sites but this is the one I use the most
games.ign.com/articles/109/1091452p1.html
In addition, select Toy Story 3 products sold in Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com include special cards with codes to unlock exclusive add-ons within the Toy Story 3 video game.
have seen a soundtrack on walmart.com search “exclusive code”
anyone have any word on other products yet?
No, but we still have 2 days to wait.
I’m guessing that while the codes will only be distributed at Wal-Mart, I’m guessing that they’ll work games bought at other stores. I doubt that they’d develop special versions of the game just for Wal-Mart.
Also, I work in the electronics section at a Sears, and we got our shipment of the Toy Story games on Friday. Didn’t see any exclusive content for the X-Box or Wii versions advertised on the boxes, so Zurg for the PS3 is the only one.
The wii version apparently has exclusive mini games, but its not exactly a selling point.
I cant believe the game comes out in a couple of days and we still have no direct feed footage. thats usually a bad sign. but the off screen stuff looked decent enough, so Im still torn.
There’s quite a bit of footage on youtube by the way of the 360 version. The Buzz Lightyear stuff looks really fun.

Heres the first review Ive found.

I am incredibly impressed by the music that I’ve heard. It’s awesome that they crammed so many bits and pieces from the actual score into the music of the game. That video of the gameplay has tons of familiar moments in it.
Too many movie based games have music that sound nothing like the film (like the WALL-E game) and for me, that just kills it.
It’s great that the music of this game is turning out to be so faithful to the films, right down to all the little moments in the Buzz Lightyear game!
You all owe me a dollar!
sorry i just invested all my money into buying this game.....
WII footage!!!
First 15 mins of it.

Looks great. I’m guessing that the game [spoil]must take place after the events of the film cause Hamm and the others are talking to Bonnie’s toys[/spoil]. There’s also a bit of music in that cutscene that I’ve heard for the first time in Disney’s Animated Storybook game.
Ah, good 'ol Stinky Pete.
Found another review of the ps3 version. this one’s pretty negative, (but honest), citing clunky controls, collision detection issues, lack of variety in the toy box mode, etc.

Well thats a bummer… I was really hoping this game was going to be one of the few good movie based games. Im back on the fence again. and this was for the superior version of the game, there’s no telling how much worse the Wii game is.
I’d rent if it my Blockbuster didn’t close down a while back.
A lot of criticisms in that review reminds me of the types of faults that were noticed with Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. I noticed that the Toy Box mode resembles Nuts & Bolts quite a lot, so I was nervous about it having some of the same faults, particularly in regards to all the mission being fetch-quests and open races.
I’m still hoping that the reviewer simply didn’t get into the game, and that it’s actually still worth playing, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already nervous about many of the issues he pointed out…
Well that sucks. One fairly positive review and one stinker. It’s nice to see a bit of wii footage too. Apart from the obvious resolution drop, it looked ok. I will still more than likely get this game for my son. He spends most of the time just running around on these games anyway.
Some screenshots for the Wii version have been released, finally: n-europe.com/news.php?nid=14095
Doesn’t look too bad. To be fair its not a game that would really suit ‘ultra-realistic’ graphics.
Dont think those are actyally Wii shots. everything is too high poly there. compare it to the video I posted, even if you just look at Buzz’s helmet its not as smooth as in these shots.
Just a reminder, the game came out today. I probably won’t be getting it for another few weeks.
My brothers and I just got this for the PS3 at Walmart. First time I’ve played a video game in months. Right now we’re on the Buzz Lightyear video game level.
[spoil]They weren’t kidding about the ‘to the left and in the shadows’ thing. [/spoil]
