Toy Story Blooper in the Moving Van.

For the longest time I wondered why all the toys wake up and move around when Woody opens the “Andy’s Toys” box.

Rex even yells “are we there already?!”

I mean seriously, thank goodness Woody opened it first and not Andy’s mother! The toys are usually smart but at this moment…they kind of got lazy!

Anyone ever notice this?

i noticed that too. it’s like they were sure that woody opened it!

My siblings and I have discussed that one before… we think it was a mistake as far as storytelling is concerned. :sunglasses:

Ive noticed this even back in the day. I thought this topic was going to be about something else though.

I always find this mistake hilarious.

they didn’t even take the opportunity to fix it in the Blu ray release.

I’ve never even noticed that!

i never noticed that. it’s just hilarious. the only mistake type thing i’ve ever noticed is how alot of times nobody’s eyes blink at the same time

That’s not a mistake, Lasseter likes to do that. He says he keeps things looking organic, less mechanical. there are even some in toy story 3.

It’s not a mistake. The toys can sense when they’re in the presence of a human, even when they can’t see it (Buzz in the crane game).

And I’m sorry, but I can’t see how that’s “organic.”

Its organic because its asymmetrical. It might not be realistic, but makes the animation a bit more stylized.

I always wondered that two, mabey who ever saw it would freak and pass out and when they woke up they thought it was a dream. I also never nothised the mistake with Andy’s fingers and Buzz, but I don’t have the DVD version or Blu Ray, I have the orinigal VHS. I may look for it on the ATT record thing sice I recorded it.

I almost forgot, another blooper is that Andy’s See 'n Say dissappeared from most of the moving van scenes after he fell out of the box. Pixar must’ve really hated that guy.

does it count as a mistake that in Toy Story, Mr. potato head has no tater tush, but in Toy Story 2, it is there?

There’s lots of animation mistakes…I thought about a forum about them, but unfortunately I don’t know how to attach pictures here or really take screencaps. I can think of: Woody’s hands morph in the bed on the first scene where he says “Pull my string the birthday party’s today?” …I suddenly can’t think of anymore =P

I think in TS3 though, when Woody is hunched over talking to Chatter Telephone, his stomach bends in a way that one of his buttons morphs into his lower stomach instead of bending out of the way…could be wrong though

Oh wow… never noticed that part. I never realized it. Maybe they knew something was going on, and were already discussing it. After all, they’d just barely left the house, and already Andy’s Mom is opening the truck?

I haven’t looked for this in detail yet, but Lee supposedly fixed this for the blu ray. at least he mentioned an intersection with the bed spread. not sure if its this exact situation or not though.

I also notice that when Woody is holding on to the strap, hes hanging on with his left arm. Next scene it changes to his right arm.

Nevermind, I thought you meant the part where Andy’s hand morphs with Buzz was the organic part. I never really noticed the eye thing until I was looking for it, too.
