looks great, cant wait till this comes out. alog with TS2 of course.

The pictures are jaw-dropping material. I was already going to buy Toy Story for Blu-Ray but after looking at the pictures I really can’t wait.
I liked how they used my avatar for one of their comparisons.

Edit: I just looked at the picture of Scud again and I am amazed again. The detail is great. Now you can actually see his fur and the wetness of his nose. Btw thanks for the posting the link Kyle.

I could see those details just fine in standard def, but I get what you mean.

What I want to know is whether or not they replaced the old castle with the newer one as they did in the 3d version. Im hoping not.

:open_mouth:

Ok, I’m definately getting this now!

I hunger…

I frown at the fact that I have no Blu-Ray. It looks drop dead GORGEOUS.

WANT.

I never know whether to buy the Blu-ray version of Pixar films. The original DVDs have a sentimental value to me, but then obviously there’s the amazing picture quality of Blu-ray. And it seems silly to have both.

I’ll have a think about it, though. Thanks for the link to the review, Kyle.

Silly to have both? I have every version of the original Toy Story there is (ok, except for the LaserDisc), VHS, bare bones dvd, Ultimate Toy Box, and the 10th anniversary. I guess I’m a mad man now that I’ll be adding the blu ray to that collection. haha

But I don’t think its silly, considering that they all have content you wont get on the other editions. Sure, most of the good stuff gets ported over, but a few things do not.

Wow, those pictures look amazing! theres only one tihng aboutthem ive been thinking about. when the pictures are too clear, to me at least, it looks more computer generated. when the qualitysk idna gritty it makes it look more like real toys rather then a computer animation. but I cant lie, it looks amazing.

They’ve posted a review of Toy Story 2. As expected, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

The blu ray quality of it does the movies so much justice. I can’t wait to see them, they look beautiful. <3

Wow… It looks so cool! I have to get a bluray player so I can buy these!!

it also comes with a dvd copy s you could still get it right i love blue rays.

After seeing those screenshots I rushed into the store yesterday evening to pick up the Blu-rays.
And indeed, the picture quality is absolutely flawless. There’s so much added detail compared to the DVDs, even in the first Toy Story.
It’s also quite amazing to see how kind 15 years of high-tech arms race in the animation world have been to this film.
It’s such a classic in every sense, that has stood and will continue to stand the test of time.

As I’ve stated before, since I don’t own a Blu Ray player, the only reason why I would want to buy the new DVDs as opposed to simply renting them on Netflix, is if they include a Digital Copy. For some reason they don’t, so I’ll probably just end up renting them.

These look fantastic!! They are all now part of my wallpaper cycle. And I just though I’d point this out now that there’s that still there, anyone notice on the cover of one of the magazine’s Woody’s looking at it says “doctor’s say American’s don’t eat enough fat”…I just thought that was a funny little thing they added
