The first one looks fan made. I remember playing the first Toy Story video game for the SNES, It was hard. I think the best game over screens are Mario and Zelda.
The first one doesn’t look real, but I never got a game over, so I never knew. The same can’t be said for the second, which was a common sight (the guy posting it messed up the video, somehow, it’s supposed to be an animation). It was actually pretty funny, though, but the last one is just uninspiring.
Nah, that’s not creepy. The music is a little but the screen itself just looks bad. I agree with the others. It looks fake. You want creepy game over screens, go play “Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link” on the NES.
I think the first one is fan-made (though the music may be real). The second and especially the third are quite hilarious (and seriously, Buzz getting attacked by Rex? That’s a bit harsh).
I think the best game over screens I’ve seen in recent memory are the ones for Arkham Asylum. They’re pretty scary but funny at the same time.
I remember owning Toy Story 2 for the original Playstation, but I’m not sure if I remember the Game Over screen being like that. I also don’t understand that in the third one, Rex was attacking Buzz. Did the developers even watch the movie?
And I agree with Bryko. The Donkey Kong Country screens have to be some of the worst.
I think the scariest video game over of all-time for me is the pungee pit in Mortal Kombat 4. It only happens if you don’t Continue after losing a match, but I saw it as a kid when a relative was playing it on his comp and it made me cry!
Even watching it now as an adult is pretty disturbing. Imagine falling down a really long pit knowing there’s only spikes waiting down below…
