That sounds like a pretty cool game, and yet its premise sounds as though it’s only vaguely related to Toy Story itself. Shooting galleries? Maybe it’s better when you actually play it. And the mini-games might be good, too. It’s nice that Toy Story is being brought back into the public eye leading up to the release of Toy Story 3. I don’t have a Wii though, so won’t ever play the game myself.
Thanks for the information, The Pixarian.
Cool! I loved the ride at Disney World so I should enjoy this. At least I don’t have to wait in such a long line to play
. I’ll have to rent it to see if it’s as fun as the ride.
Sounds alright…I might rent it. It probably won’t be that good.
I’m excited for the game. I haven’t been on the ride yet, but I’m going to California Adventure next month and that for sure is going to be the first ride I get on.
I think this could be fun, As long as it’s done right ![]()
Sounds fun. I dont own a Wii either, and dont plan to, so I’ll have to bow out of this one. I will say though, one of my fav things about the ‘real thing’ is actually moving around on the track and how they whip you around the corners.
I’ll get it, cause I have a Wii! YAY! ![]()

This looks interesting, but IDK if the experience will be conveyed through your TV. While I can see the shooting concept with the Wii remote, it just doesn’t work for me. For example, I don’t really touch my other games that I use the Wii remote. What do I play all the time? Guitar Hero, because it feels… right. I’m really concerned that they will lose the experience altogether by imitating/copying TS Mania and lose it’s original appeal that you get WDW, or any Disneyland parks’ rides for that matter, through the imitation to get it onto the Wii.
Toy Story Midway Mania is one of my new favorite rides at Disneyland resort, I love riding it every time I go there… I actually rank it up there with other attractions like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, Tower of Terror, California Screamin’, etc… But as for a Wii game, the concept sounds interesting at first, but I highly doubt a Wii game would ever capture the same magic and glory that the rides at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World have. I predict the video game to be at least mediocre, considering Wii’s record of lackluster titles.
I think if anyone wants a true Toy Story Midway Mania experience, go to the parks and experience them. This game shouldn’t be an excuse not to visit the parks, because a silly Wii game will never capture the same experience that the rides do.
I guess since this thread is already here. Here’s a little update on the game: kotaku.com/5243519/toy-story-man … ival-games
