Finished my version of Big Baby. Could never find a head that was perfect, this one is actually a little too small for the body…but I think the “tattooing” makes all the difference.
I found a vintage baby doll on eBay. The doll was 18". I popped off it’s head, and am actually using that head for Baby Face (for which I am still waiting on my erector set.). The head came from a 16" doll I had originally bought with the intent of just turning the doll into Big Baby. But the doll was way too small when it came in. I ended up using that head.
The 18" doll was all vinyl, and had a stomach that was WAY too fat for Big Baby…so I gutted the doll with an exacto, leaving the backbone so the head and shoulders would still have support. Then made the cloth body and stuffed it lightly.
I own both. They are the same scale and have fairly similar sculpts. Neither legs have articulation, alien throwers arms can do a full rotation but no elbows, weight lifter has elbows and half rotation at the shoulders. Alien throwers head also moves while weight lifters does not. I still personally pick weight lifter because i like the paints better. They arent as shiny as the alien throwing version. I would still kill someone for the medicom rocky. He’s my favorite background character
Hey everybody, I just wanted to ask if anyone has any pics of the 1995 Hamm piggy bank? I heard it was quite good and I just wanted to see what it looked like
Absolutely fantastic! It looks excellent. But where is his “Daisy” locket?
Re: Disney Store Hamm Piggy Bank
I emailed Disney Store online about the Hamm Piggy Bank (again because the first time they directed me to look in the physical stores in the US even though I pointed out that I live in Australia) and I received the following response:
“We understand that additional stock for all of the Toys Story 3 toys and merchandise will again be available starting in October for the Holidays”.
Of course, it’s no guarantee that the “additional stock” will include the DS Hamm Piggy Bank (especially as I think another forum member got an email about the October releases and the DS Hamm was not listed in that email), but it gives me some hope that more stock will be produced.
“Toy Story 3” is the summer’s top earner at the box office, taking in $895 million worldwide as of Monday. Sure, it’s in 3-D, which often means as much as $5 more per ticket. But the movie also got rave reviews, earning a rating of 92 out of 100 on Metacritic, which translates into almost universal acclaim. “Toy Story 3” has now earned more than the first two movies in the series combined.
