Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

That us amazing! I wish I had the same artistic talent as you! Also can you maybe tell us how you made some of them?

I know ill sound dumb for asking but how did people completely get the string out of slinks head?I actually cut it off so none hangs but i want to get the left over string in the hole out i tried pulling it out but its tied in a knot.I see most of you got all of it out any help?

Does anyone have pictures comparing the basic rex to the collection rex? Im about to give up on finding the TSC and just grab the basic one from KMART but i feel like he wont fit in at all.

Could someone also post a comparison in height of the medicom rocky and the mattelā€™s weight lifting rocky?

I have the rex he is perfect and a lot cheaper I can post pics of some of my toys this weekend when I am not working

Iā€™m not sure if this is exactly what youā€™re asking for but what I did is I cut the string off as close as I could to the head, then used nail clippers/tweezers to pull out as much as I could after that. Then when there wasnā€™t much left I just used a long point and poked the remainder of the string into the plastic head. And now I canā€™t see it at all and it looks as though itā€™s been completely removed.

I poked the last little bit into his head as well. Itā€™s hidden and doesnā€™t look like it was ever there, so it works.
Iā€™m a little annoyed about Hamm being back in stock, I bought one on eBay in December for $80ish including shipping, and now I can get one from the disney store online for half that price. Iā€™m considering buying 3 or 4 and then flipping them online later on when they go back out of stock, would that be too evil? :smiling_imp:

Thanks that worked i poked the remainder in! And flipping them for money would be evil but very profitable if you do flip them only charge 40-50 bucks.

My TSC rex is not yet out of the box, but he is noticeably bigger than the $30 Rex (which I also own) I can post pictures soonā€¦

I think itā€™s a good buy, but who knows, you might just want to wait out a TSC. He looks tiny next to Hamm bank. Guess it depends if having one out of scale character will drive you nuts.

Oreo,

I knew someone already posted a comparison

itā€™s on this pageā€¦took a while to find

That would drive me insane to have Rex be that out of scale. I guess I will just have to take my chances and hope I can find the TSC one somewhere

My monkey finally came! He still has his box and works! However i cant get the whole screech thing to work. It seemed like it wants to but is getting caught up

Itā€™s not the original, careful, he got hands and feet unpainted ^^

Anyway, i finished the stand for the ken outfits, Iā€™ve to make the nehru jacket, and have to find the tennis one, otherwise, iā€™m done with this ken outfits colleciton

Ps: and iā€™m also done with my troll n_n !!

All I did was switch out Kens. Animal Lovinā€™ Ken is the more recognizable and iconic TS3 Ken, and it felt weird having a different version in the midst of Lotsoā€™s gang.

There wonā€™t be any more group shots until after I am finally able to redo this room and get everything up on some kind of shelving. It is all just too spread out now.

Sure. The Purple guy in the hat, the skinny MikeWazowski Monster, the hamburger, and the Robot are all made of Sculpey oven baked clay with an aluminum foil base so they arenā€™t too heavy. Sculpted, sanded, painted with ordinary acrylic craft paint, then sprayed with a satin clear coat. The flat dinosaur and Lightning McQueen are made of several layers of foam sheeting cut down and glued together, then a strip of posterboard lining the edge, and painted. (I know they should be wood bloacks essentially, but I donā€™t have the tools to saw through such a thick block with the needed percisionā€¦so I found an alternative.) The purple dinosaur is an Imginext Brontosaurus that I sculpter a new head for, and painted the whole thing. The cup is actually a small Slurpee cup from 7-11, and the lid is a small lid from Wendyā€™s. The outside of the cup and fries were both done in photoshop and printed on low gloss photopaper. The jack in the box is a repainted MotherGoose jack in the box from the 70s, and the figure in the box is sculpey with a cloth hat.

I think I am going to redo the dog and cat. Now that I look at everything together they are both WAY too bigā€¦and it is bugging me.

Thanks!

Does anyone know why some jolly chimps have painted hands and feet and others dont? Mine was made by the same company however it has the flesh tone hands and feet

So does that mean your gonna take a group photo now Emma?
P.S. So what did you use to find that baseball outfit?

Hi guys IĀ“m so excited. I just finished the sculpt of my next projectā€¦

Any of you can help me to create the box?

Iā€™ve been wondering when someone was going to try to do this. What are you using to sculpt him? It looks great!
