Unfortunately you would have to obtain the liscense from pixar along with the digital images…
If the disney store was smart…they would simply make most of the characters…because a movie like TOY story kinda markets itself…all the main characters are toys…it should be easy really.
Every year, the disney store at easter, has those plastic easter eggs with random Disney characters on them, they sell for like $12 (whereas the normal plastic ones are like $2 per bag). Imagine one year, they make the troikas…should take little designing and effort…and they’d sell with a HUGE profit margin.
They had the limited release of Lumiere and Cogsworth…why not make a limited to 1000, $70 bo peep?
An actual working Mr. Spell would be cool, etc…
instead they release bobble heads and other garbage…when honestly, marketing should be easy.
Honestly I question Disney’s marketing for Toy Story too. They should have released Wheezy’s everywhere around the time of the 2nd movie. They would have sold like hot cakes. This movie makes over a billion dollars worldwide and they only sell us a bunch of woody, buzz and jessie dolls. If you keep it to a limited quantity, you won’t lose money. You will sell every single one of them. Argggg!
Wtf, we were not happy to have something that you won’t have, and it’s an exclusive, you’ll prob get it later, that’s it, it’s really childish to think this, seriously lol
Not defending anything, i’m french, living in france, but come on man…
I just think they don’t give a damn about minor characters, because like speak and spell, the toy itself already exist, and would be pointless to them to create a toy that only collectioners would buy… and most of the collectioners only want the important toys —
Hamm is on of the most important characters, its the reason why it has been sold so well + he is a real bank, so it’s cooler…
And well, isn’t it funnnier to make our toys ourselves
All I’m saying is the current Toy Story “new items” the disney store released are garbage. My friend at the disney store said they’ve sold like 2 of the “build a chuckles/Build a sparks” series and few bobbleheads…Chuckles toy is a good idea, but paying $62 to build one is ridiculous…it’s just poor marketing
Even if just collectors bought certain things…at least someone would. Mr. Spell might not be the BEST example…but comnig out with the Troikas at Easter, or characters like Rocky, Robot, Chuckles and Bo would be good sellers. I think Thinkway should do Trixie…But I think the disney store would be perfectly capable of making an awesome chuckles or bo peep…and they would both sell very well…
The thing that is irritating is that GENERALLY disney is good with marketing…they release plush toys, they have a Big Sully toy, and beanie mike thats in scale with it…same for Flounder and Sebastian…that is clever…I just think they are missing the mark with Toy Story
Haha, this is getting even more hilarious. I’ve already explained this more than once, it was a joke. Plus, I only called out the people who were happy about the US not getting them. If you weren’t happy about that, then I wasn’t even referring to you…so yeah. I don’t really need to explain it again.
Disney Store would have no trouble selling a Wheezy or Chuckles. These are two characters still fresh in people’s minds. Bo Peep may be a little bit harder to sell but I could see a limited amount made at first and once those sell, maybe create more, like Hamm. I think a cool thing to do would be release one of the original TS toys every year. Make it like a series of collectibles. They don’t have to be exact replicas, but make them in scale and decent and people would buy those up.
