Pete’s box had a lot of showtime though, so it would have been easy to get some great reference shots. All we see of Zurg’s box is the back, and the only real reference to the front out there is a sketch from one of the ‘Art of’ books. So I guess it would be possible, but each person’s interpretation of it would be different.
No, they made a full render of what the front of his box looks like (I posted the picture a while ago). It appears the same way in the video game, and some promotional products. The only problem is that we have no Zurg ([size=85]yet[/size]).
Rockin’ Robot did exist before Toy Story. As head writer at the Kidvertisers ad agency in NYC, one of my assignments was to name this product for our client, KidDesigns, which created a line of kids electronics toys under the Playskool license. I took one look at it and named it Rockin’ Robot (what else would you name it?!) I worked on Rockin’ Robot in the early 1990’s. I’ve got the original print ad I wrote somewhere. If I find it, I’ll post it here.

I think Spiritmama’s Snake looks amazing, although her price is the problem. She sold this one for $80 because that was the original price and now she is bumping up the price to $130! I managed to get him for $100 but still a little unhappy with the price…
She said she will start Robot soon, hopefully the price won’t be that high…
its the same shape as buzz’s box i am pretty sure i can get a shot of the bottom very clear and i have a toy story book that came out after the 2nd movie i will take a pic it has good shots of the box
I think the body looks a little thin, but other than that looks great…I hope I like the robot, the only one I’d be willing to spring some moolah for this year…saving for my wedding lol

It looks good and all, but I would never pay that much for Snake. The most I’d go is $50, and that’s if he’s 100% accurate. Still looks like a quality piece, don’t get me wrong.
Wow! I do like to look up to Spirit Mamas Collection but I really wouldn’t want to pay that price. Still it looks great!
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but Wampar, if you can remember, what techniques did you use to paint Legs fishing rod part to green and yellow? I aks you this because I know how hard it is to paint on plastic and when looking closely at your Legs the painting is beautiful in the piece
I had to paint it twice. I pretty much always use the cheap acrylic craft paint you can get at any hobby shop. It took several thick layers. Because the handle of my fishing rod was foam and the paint started flaking off, I repainted, then sprayed the entire thing with a matte clear spray sealant.
Thanks Wampar, I did paint my jingle joe with yellow paint and did about five odd layers. However I do like the finished product because it looks worn and cracked which fits the part of a mutant. However I feel that legs needs that standard of class because shes the only female of the group so I wanted to make sure I had the right feel of her. But still thanks for your advice, Also thanks for your lamp shade Wampar, I finally finished my Bo, Sheep and lamp. I’ll post some pictures as soon as I pur some of the finishing touches to it

Also I think that the soon coming Disney Store Exclusive for the small fry toys will have all the meal toys and mini buzz and mini zurg besides there are only 12 meal toys including the Buzz and Zurg making it 14

Ken’s dream house isn’t a real “toy”. And there isn’t a Barbie’s dream house that is too similar.
