Is the Accurate Ken/Barbie made for each other set still in production and just really hard to find, or is that a 1st edition that was re-released as the more common one now?
@ dinaco. that toy lab buzz is in mexico. i went there for vacation and saw it. it’s called blast off buzz (thinkway) but said mattel and had the same fuel exhaust gimmick.
ATTENTION- My inner Al is really wanting a 100% original animal lovin ken doll. I’ve got every part except the original shoes. I will pay good money or those shoes, so send me a message if anyone has them and wouldn’t mind sparing them
Its not TSC, its just their cheaper less accurate version, of which most of them have a counterpart. its missing a lot more than just its talking feature.
Yeah, he looks good. This Potato Head is about 6" high. He does open in the back compartment (to hold some green army men that come in the set). None of his facial features or hat are removable. His arms do not bend but can be moved up and down.
I was working on a sculpting project a while back and discovered two old boxes of Sculpey I had. I’ve been wanting to get my hands dirty on a new project and work on creating the one character from Toy Story that is impossible to get… Bookworm. Here is my progress so far…
I started with a wire and and foil skeleton. The wire is just to make the limbs flexible and allow there to be some movement during the sculpting process.
I then built out a thin layer of clay around the wire/foil frame. The eyes in this version are just for reference and not actual size.
This is where I got to so far. I bulked out the body and tried to refine the volume of the body. Since this is for display I decided not to design it with a working flashlight. I did the 6" height x 5" length to make him scale to Wheezy. After watching the film again, this character never actually stands next to another character. It was based off the height of the Buzz Lightyear instruction manual, which both Bookworm and Lotso hold. All rough estimates.
