I think that’s the toy where Pixar got most of their inspiration for Mr. Potato Head from.
I’m not sure about this… I think he’s getting the 1991 date from the copyrights, but I’m pretty sure Pixar did make up Mr. Mike’s design. The original Mr. Mike (presumably from 1991) was different in design, and wasn’t even called Mr. Mike, it was the Playskool Rockin’ Robot.
All the copyrights in early Toy Story books also list Mr. Mike as Playskool Rockin’ Robot (the real Mr. Mike toy was made in 1996). Wouldn’t they have any mention of the Rock and Roll Box this guy claims? The only explanation would be if the Rockin’ Robot came after the Rock and Roll Box. Still doubtful.
I’m not sure if anyone will be able to answer that.
I tried emailing Disney Store to enquire whether they would be getting any more stock and I got a fairly standard response saying the item isn’t in stock, they don’t know if or when it will be in stock and they suggested that I try to buy one in-store (which is somewhat difficult since I’m in Australia).
I’m disappointed more people didn’t take-up the Kellogg’s promotion. At least if Ebay was flooded with Kellogg’s Hamm then it might be possible to get a semi-accurate Hamm in the event they don’t receive any more stock at Disney Store.
I heard that apparently DS Hamm’s are no longer available online but the actual store still restocks. Is there a way to get emails from my certain DS so I will know when they have a Hamm for me to buy?
That’s what they need to do. Come out with a new Potato Head whose arms are like that in the commercial, because they are skinnier, like in the movies. Thanks for sharing. I never knew he had arms like that then (though it probably helps that I wasn’t alive! )
Is the DS Hamm still available in Disney Stores? If so, is it worth it go to my nearest Disney Store and check, or should I call first (if I call, should I name some sort of product #, or will they know what I’m talking about if I just ask for the full-size Hamm bank)?
Their very hard to find these days. might as well call. their Very rare now that the TS3 hype has died down, and it seems like they are not getting any more shipments onlined or otherwise. They go for a pretty penny on ebay, and that wont stop any time soon. Their value will likely continue to go up in fact, as their lack of any real packaging will keep them from staying in mint condition.
When I called, I described the non-plush, heavy, ceramic hamm which is 19.50. I just named the price because there is no other hamm merchandise being sold for 19.50.
Does anyone think that we’ll see more Bonnie’s toys plushes around November? The same thing goes for Hamm, but that’s of less concern to me personally since I already own one.
Hi, I just recently got this slinky dog, and I cut all the strings and brown sharpie’d the bottom of the ears. I want to know, is it size accurate? the only innacuracies i know of are the ears, head hole, and leg size, and it would suck if it is too small. thanks for the help
